Joined the .org because of the excellent mod community (got into TW mods through Napoleonic TW for MTW), been playing TW games since Shogun and strategy games since UFO : Enemy Unknown. Particularly looking forward to Jidai no Ran, Blue Lotus and the 1.5 version of Europa Barborum. Anyway, great site, thanks to everyone involved.
btw, is anyone working on a Dune mod for RTW?

Hey all. I am new to this site but not to the Total War series. I got Shogun from a friend and played it a lot. Then i went and bough Medieval and played that all the time. Then as soon as Rome came out i bought it and have been playing a ton. I am not much of a multiplayer kind of guy, i play it everyonce in a while, but i am really into campaigns. Like many of you I've been playing the total war series since it's conception with Shogun, but never quite got around to the multiplayer aspect of it until I got my dsl a short while ago..then I found this place. And from what I've seen it's pretty cool.

That depends on whether you are into modding M:TW or R:TW. M:TW is winding down at the moment, and so is its mod scene, but it wouldn't harm to look around. On the other hand, almost all R:TW mods are screaming for talented modders. It seems people rather start their own mod than join an existing one, resulting in a lot mods, most of which never seem to get finished. However, if you are not that experienced, I suggest you first have a look at the Repository (M:TW) or the Scriptorium (R:TW). You will find many tutorials for modding there, and practicing a bit (and having something to show) will improve your chances of getting a position in a mod team.Quote:
