Ok. Writeup started.
Crazed Rabbit strolled through down a hallway, carrying a large bag over his shoulder. An indescribable form clearly lay captive inside the bag, though it did not move. Crazed Rabbit was seemed to be in a rather unconcerned mood; indeed, he was whistling quite loudly, as though he cared not whether anything or anyone heard him. As he turned a corner, his unnaturally dark skin tingled, as though he had just stepped into an invisible mist. An almost silent laughing could be heard, though it seeemed to emanate from nothing.
No longer feeling quite as jolly as before, he picked up his pace. He reached a staircase, taking it quickly up to the second floor. His quickened pace gradually transformed into a sort of light trot, then into a near sprint. However, no matter fast he went, the tingling would not abate. He pulled a sharp left and a t-corner, and stared down to the dead end. There was a large hole in the right side of the wall, evidence of some kind of previous engagement. Without warning, the tingling suddenly vanished. Feeling jaunty again, he took a calm pace towards the end room. Not one for subtlety, Crazed Rabbit simply battered down the rice-paper door with one swing of his hand.
Inside, all that lay beyond was what appeared to be a comatose person. GeneralHankerchief's body seemed to be completely immobile; it was clearly evident that it was barely breathing. Crazed Rabbit opened the bag, and hastily dumped the contents on the floor. The corpse of Makaikhaan fell out, along with a few possessions. Crazed Rabbit picked up a scabbard, and pulled out Makaikhaan's most prized sword. He raised it above GeneralHankerchief, preparing to strike the body down. As the sword began its descent, Crazed Rabbit once again felt the same chill on his skin. Without warning, GeneralHankerchief's body quicky raised itself, and began scrambling away madly from his armed opponent. In the confused withdrawal, GeneralHankerchief accidentally slammed into a wall. Taking advantage, CR leaped forward and jammed the sword forwards much like a madly oversized dagger. The blade rammed right through GeneralHankerchief's gut. Crazed Rabbit promptly ripped it straight upwards, splitting the body literally in half; bone, muscle, and tendon alike. With the body's death, a terrible shriek rang out through the otherwise silent castle. And as suddenly as it rang, so it disappeared; no fading, no hesitation. Just gone.
T'was the night before Kanro, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. However, leaving the courtyards, a Crazed Rabbit would whistle; leaving the lights, and into the thistle...

Ah, rats.
GG to CR and the rest of the guys. :2thumbsup:
Awesome. Great game, makai! So, how did CR win over GH?
If I had to guess, I'd say random.org. Same way I was able to take out both you and glyphz the other night. This time, it just didn't go in my favor.
Anyway...

Alright, I'll start the game analysis with a brief roll-call.(literally)
Roles:
Pro-Town:
Nikobo: Exorcist(doctor)
Yakushi Nyarai: Protected by 12 generals, may resurrect one time, may visit.
Shinobi- detective
The "visit" function for Yakushi, aka KukriKhan, was a bit ambiguous, I'll admit. Its function was primarily to find the Priest; however, if the visited was attacked, there was a 75% chance the generals would protect them as well. A 2nd attacker the same night wouldn't be blocked. Kukri himself was a "bulletproof townie" as well, and was invulnerable to death, curses, possession, etc....
Ambiguous Role:
Priest- The Priest was designed as a swing role. The priest was an innately spiritual human; however, in his weakened state, he could be influenced into either a negative role, or a positive one. As he was incapacitated in the intro, he spent the entire game bed-ridden and unable to speak. Hence, he was excused from WoG. Nobody else was.
However, if visited by Yakushi, he would be healed by the sympathetic being, and turn into a jack of all trades for the town effort. That is, he would have the option of either protecting someone, investigating someone, or attempting a vigelante kill on someone.
If cursed by the Mikoboshi Cult leader, he would turned into a joint cult leader; that is, he would then be able to curse in the same manner as the Cult leader. And, in the event of the leader's death, would be able to order the demons in his stead. Now, speaking of the cult leader...
Mikoboshi Cult Leader: Leader of a cult with aspirations of harnessing the dark power of Mikaboshi, a dark and powerful substance, an antithesis to life. The leader himself only can curse individuals, rendering them incapable of doing anything for that night. However, over the course of multiple cursings(2 and 4 respectively), the leader would gain the ability to manipulate Mikoboshi in order to kill others. After two cursings, he could kill one person, with 4 he could kill 2. I put a ceiling on that. If he cursed the Priest, the priest would join him in his cursings. The priest's curses would count towards the "cursing levels", though they as a tandem would still be unable to command more than 2 deaths per night. The Cult leader(and the priest if he joined him) was/were its own entity, and thus had victory conditions akin to a serial killer.
Puppet Master:
The Puppet Master was an ancient spirit who, rather than relying on a body of its own for sustenance, made hosts of other bodies. However, it required to leave some portion of itself in some body at all times, as an anchor of sorts for its very existence. Each night phase, the Puppet Master could temporarily jump from its (semi) permanent host to the body of another player; if successful, the Puppet Master could literally make that player do anything; spy on another player, attempt to kill another player, cause them to commit suicide, defend its own host body or anyone else(to the death, potentially, which opened up different options than a regular protection), or just about anything that player could think of, if they passed approval from me. If a temporary host body(aka, the possessed player) died, then the Puppet master would return to its host for the night. The Puppet Master's victory condition was to be the last person standing; hence why the game did not end when it was 1vs1.
Now, GH and a few others asked me about how some of the situations worked with the Puppet Master. Behold:
Chance of Successful Possession:
Townie- 100%
Priest- 100% if unconverted either way, 50% if converted to either side. For further attempts, see below for Mafia and Cult leader.
Shinobi- 100%

On protecting, and the last couple nights: GH wished for Chaotix to "Fight to the Death", something I had figured could happen. This would alter the protection in that, instead of being 100% if equal, there would be a 50% chance for both the attacker and defender to die, rather than both surviving. Only one could die. Slight derivations from this, which I'll post later, could pop up if inequities existed between attacker and protector.
*I'm going to finish this part later, I'm quite tired atm, however, much of the rest of the scenarios have similar derivations to this*
Mafia:
Fujin- The God of Wind. According to legend, he and Raijin were demons who opposed the Buddha together.
Raijin- God of Thunder. See above. I figured it fitting to pit the two together in this spiritual war of aggression.
Emma-O- God of Hell and Judgement. I was a bit confuzzled as to whom the third spirit should be. That is, until I came across Emma-O. It seemed a perfect fit for the Godfather of the mafia. A judgemental God seemed the perfect fit for one to judge me unfit to be Emeror. Note that as Godfather, Emma-O would appear innocent to investigations.
Wow, I'm digging all the percentages. Nice job khaan, that must have been some number-crunching for the penultimate night. :laugh4:
I'll admit, I'm dying to see the mafia's Quicktopic.
CR
Well where did everyone go?
Anyways, thanks for a fun game Makai, and another notch on my mafia win belt.
CR
PS - GH, thanks for saving my life.
The mafia topic? That's just a bunch of boring boilerplate... plus me believing GH and lynching kukri instead...
And didn't GH take out the guy who was going to take out me that night?
CR
:whip: I'd still like to see it, be interesting if nothing else.
As for the GH thing, um... kinda tired at the moment, 1 AM and all... not thinking straight.
EDIT: ya, GH did save you. However, the mafia would have won with two people alive instead of one.
I am content with being the sole power left. :beam: That should teach some people to concentrate on the real targets, anyway. :inquisitive:Quote:

Anyways, here's the topic:

Please ignore my colossal gaffe at the end.
CR
What looked like GH almost taking out all 3 mafia, was pretty much caused by a big screw-up on my part :stwshame: (not found in the quicktopic)
CR- I :laugh4:'d at the end.
Exchange between Glyphz and me towards the end, when his paranoia nearly destroyed the mafia-
(This was actually a multitude of PM's, but this is a more 'summed up' version, for the convenience of posting)

Other than that, it was an a good game, and really enjoyed the write-ups
Good game people and respect to the mafia holding their team undetected until the very end.
When my nose got wind of the possible constellations of bad guys, it was too late.
Having the mafia implode at the end wouldn't have done me any good, because I still would have been lynched 2-1 probably.
I had CR pegged as mafia from the first night. I decided to align with him to extend my lifespan while I could work on sniffing out the other two and hopefully kill one "by accident". CR was good though, and left me essentially in the dark. A few nights ago, I took a gamble that the three mafiosi were CR, Chaotix, and Kukri and I tried to have Chaotix kill Kukri.
After that, of course, the true roles came to light and I saw that my play had failed. I was up against superior numbers and there wasn't much I could really do.
Thanks for hosting makaikhaan.
The town didn't even lynch a single mafia. :sweatdrop:
Going back through the roles, I realized something:
I found one mafioso, was responsible for the deaths of the other two, killed the priest, killed the Detective (twice!), and found the resurrector.
Not too shabby, although too bad I couldn't finish the job.
not one mafia kill, tut tut tut, barely believable.....
Gah!!
I had some suspicions of CR and GH after my death, i at least made 1 or 2 posts on the subject, i though you were both acting a little differently, nothing major just something a bit off.... of course it was midgard that got me killed (and on only 2 votes!!)
Great game MK thanks for hosting...
Woah. Looks like you guys had heaps of fun. Sorry I couldn't join. Good game:2thumbsup:
