I have the save.
Cecil, an unfortunate defeat, but understandable. The usual imbalanced AI army, and Polish Nobles are hell-spawn.
He can't afford to. He needs all the people he can get. Luckily, RK's avatar popped out a kid so the next generation of Austrians is looking pretty good. That being said, it sucks that RK lost his first avatar right out of the gate. But, this game is getting quite deadly.Quote:

Expect an updated report on 1292 soon.
Mother of god!!
Maybe we should just play against the Polish in the next game!!
That puts the Austrian Eastern Front as numero uno on the deadly list.
When are you going to write that up Cecil?
Nah, we Franconians don't lose battles ~DQuote:

Interesting - I wonder what we have done to make our reputation despicable?Quote:

If you want to keep a decent rep, you have to be super nice and stay in your own corner of the world, which would make for a boring PBM.
Mainly what OK said, although spying/assassination does not affect reputation at all and choosing sides in an ally war neither. Oh, and destroying the faction won't do anything to reputation, except that the factiondestroyed event does not work in M2TW so you still count as being at war with them and keep losing rep thus.
Rep basically deteriorates for each faction you are at war with each turn and increases for each ally you have per turn after minimum alliance time of 10 turns.
That said, our reputation is mainly this bad because of all the sacking/extermination/executions that various players have committed and to some extent due to being at war with just about everyone and their dog.
Its quite impossible to get it up to 'mixed" even at this time as we just have too many enemies and too few friends.
Of course a file fix could change the way reputation works (i.e. no deterioration for being at war and generally all events have a greater fixed impact rather than a percentage impact), but we are quite far into the game and it wouldn't help much with the above actions being repeatedly committed.
On a side note, Dassel has no County.
It's mainly the difficulty level. I play Medium, which is far more balanced. And on that you can easely stay in reliable, even if you sack and exterminate.
Difficulty levels only influence faction standings (relations) and not reputation.
The single greatest contributor to our poor reputation was Heinrich's attack on the Papacy, since we were allied with them at the time. I remember seeing the reputation drop significantly (several levels) at that point.
Hi TC,
Wilhelm von Heidelberg was actually assigned to Roadkill. Can you change that please?
Fixed.
I think it's time to spawn a recruitable for Austria. They've had more than their fair share of battle deaths.
I agree. Roadkill, sorry for the rough start to the PBM for you. :embarassed: Would you accept a recruitable Austrian as a replacement?Quote:

My condolences Cecil, and Roadkill as well.
Maybe Roadkill wants to be Swabian afterall? :grin2:
TC, I think Wilhelm von Heidelberg actually has a child, by the name of Chunegundis, right?
Im taking a brake from this game. I cant play battles currently, also im bit bored and havent had intrest on building my current character at all, so i think someone without avatar would be better having mine, because currently its going on waste. Thanks for the game guys. It has been a great experience.~
Yeah, there are at least 5 kids now for Austria. 1 for Becker, 1 for Wilhelm, and 3 for Karl. Ironically, despite Arnold's failure at the wedding chapel, his house is a baby factory. :yes:Quote:

And, PK while the numbers agree with you, three of those four death were intentional and two would have died soon anyway. Austria on the other hand has los three young avatars accidently.
My condolences Roadkill.
Unintentional/unwanted deaths so far:
Sigismund der Stolze (Swabia)
Ehrhart von Mahren (Austria)
Markus Steffen (Bavaria)
Jobst von Salza (Kaiser/Swabia)
Sigismund von Mahren (Austria)
Jens Hümmel (Outremer/Swabia)
Wilhelm von Heidelberg (Austria)
TC and Ituralde are right. I was just going by a "all battle deaths are created equal" stance when I did my numbers.
Outremer wins in overall battle deaths. Austria wins in unintended battle deaths. From an IC perspective, its the overall deaths that matter because our avatars don't know that the players suicided their characters. From an OOC perspective, the unintended battle deaths matter more because it shows how the game actually killed some of our characters.
So, IC, I would argue in the Diet for instance that Outremer is the deadliest area of the Reich. Hence, my "avatar meat-grinded" award. OOC, everyone in here is right in pointing out that its Austria that is truly the deadliest area to play the game in.

*edit*
Also, looking at TC's list, I see a distinct lack of Franconian avatars. I find that funny considering we keep asking for hard assignments and hard battles. I've had Jan down to a couple BG's at least three times in a row recently. Fredericus was impossible to kill. The Kastillians just won't die. We play freaky mutant characters... ^_^
Agreed, Franconia fights the most enemies (3 atm) and no-one wants to die. It seems as if the enemy is scared of them. Ansehelm hardly had to fight battles going to Moscow, and he's no drawing Poles in his direction (who don't like coming)Quote:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WHHHHHHHYYYY?!?!?!?! I HAD SUCH HOPES FOR HIM.
It's a shame you are taking a break, but I understand about not being able to play battles. That takes a lot of the spice out of it.Quote:

Don't feel you have to give up your avatar just to free it up for someone else. Now we have recruitable generals, no one need be without.
I'll take you off the playlist tomorrow, but feel free to jump back into the game any time if we somehow manage to rekindle your interest.
Well Helmut is not really the man to be, he's in his 40s and completely undeveloped.Quote:
