Henri is in Frankfurt with his army.
I have moved Andrea there also and consolidated the troops Henri has sent..been sent..there also.
Another unit of spears is at the bridge South as re-enforcements / ready to garrison Frankfurt when we move out again.
I have not moved any Order Avatars.
if the next person to take the save move my avatar from Caen towards Bordeaux I would be much obliged. :bow:

The King defeated utterly the army laying siege to York, swooping down on them in the night. But having had to detour around the city to engage them, the King's army couldn't reach the second English army camping near the city.
Nor could the King enter the city.
I'll be taking the save tomorrow early afternoon GMT+1 so any last moves and orders should be submitted right now.

Affaires diplomatiques
As proof that His Majesty is not oblivious of the will of the Conseil, York has been sold to the Scots for the sum of 10000 florins and their map informations. The Scottish diplomat has now left Carenarvon, following our agreement is heading towards the mainland.
Our treasury has been further filled by the 13000 florins given by the Reich for the return of Nuremburg, which over-extended our defenses.
Russia and Poland are now at war.
Affaires militaires
In Iberia, Prince Louis has managed a formidable victory against the Moors, claiming one of their castles and depriving them of one of their recruitment centers.
In the north, His Majesty has freed the town of York, enabling our diplomats to offer it to the Scots as previously mentioned.
Prince Henry of England has appeared out of nowhere near Bordeaux... He must have been hiding in a cave in the Pyrenees. Maybe he's come out to share some of the wine that pleasures so his Cardinal.
Recrutement
Here is the list of our recruited and retrained forces.
Numerous priests have been recruited around the country. This has brought us Papal approval.

Albion
The English forces have left York for Edinburgh, where they are now taken between Scottish hammer and anvil.
His Majesty is now in Scottish lands but will leave as soon as possible because to avoid deteriorating our relations.
Germany
As feared, Frankfurt and Bern are under siege. His Majesty is confident that the city and castle defenders will prove their worth and repulse the assault.
Iberia
Little is known of the Moorish presence. His Majesty grants authorization to Aquitaine nobles to erect watchtowers around Granada to gain knowledge of the forces in the area.
Affaires intérieures
A few constructions have been finished this year.
Several buildings have been commissioned :
Mines in London, Garrison Quarters in Bern and Valencia and a Port in Antwerp.

Our priest turned Heretic has been burned at the stake by his colleague Nicolas de Calais, who proved himself a true servant of God.
His Majesty hopes this judgment and our ordination of many priests as proof that we are good Catholics. Because an Inquisitor has been spotted near Innsbruck. Let us pray he remains there.
Simon de Montpierre has gained approval in the King's eyes.

Moved Gaetan's army towards Granada, followed by the captain led cavalry stack. Moved Peasant archers from Iberia and Peasants from Bordeaux towards English Prince. Defeated rebels near Granada, sailed to Gibraltar area, blockaded Cordoba's dock with my fleet.

English princes slaughtered and his bodyguard along with him. Clear Victory.

Philippe sailed north and surprised Captain Josias of England. The lure of a fight drew the new English Prince to the battle and to his early grave. The King scored an heroic victory and captured Edinburgh as a prize of victory. The city was sacked our Welsh and Scottish auxiliary couldn't be restrained. 4779 florins have been gained.
In the aftermath of the fight, Philippe acquired the title "The Saint".
Not resting on his laurels, he rode out of the city to drive away the army of Captain Francis guarding the south road and the road to the port. Another heroic victory for France. Philippe is now known as Philippe the Attacker.
Edinburgh will be returned to Scotland shortly. Only Caernarvon remains as English holding in Albion.

I have started gathering members of the Order near Frankfurt.
The biggest battle thus far (if memory serves) has been fought at the walls of Frankfurt where our forces sallied.
Thomas handed command to Henri for the battle.
A HEROIC victory was achived but at great and sad cost. The Duchy of Lorraine has lost its Duc.
Thomas was felled to a crossbow bolt whilst wheeling to recharge the enemy cavalry. :no:

The German prisoners were ransomed for 4,609 florins and they fled to Nuremburg…actually got all the way there as well!!
