ATPG, will you be telling us the names of people that are in our zone of control so that we can pm them?
if they are human :P
so what if we are contacted by someone in the zone but we didnt specifically ask for cooperation mode but they did? can we still ally.....
If you were in any mode besides cooperation mode, the alliance they offered was not returned. What you'll have to do is stay close to each other (within zone of control) and both ask for the alliance this phase.

Need orders from these people.
Those who were inactive both rounds will be booted out, for great justice.
Only booted, not killed by the 20ft monster??? :clown:
When are the orders due Pizza? I'm still trying to figure out what the heck I'm going to do.
*cough*

Just a quick question before sending in my order...
Do we need to move to the square the items are after doing a thorough search of your control area? E.g. you discover an item on a square different from the one you currently stand in. Or does a thorough search also involve moving around in your control zone picking up stuff?
Well, originally they are due 11 hours from now.
However I will have to replace several people today, so I may grant an extension.
A thorough search boils down to: Instead of moving, I search all the squares around me. If you want to think of this as being accomplished by quickly moving to all those squares and then moving back to your original square, that might help. If you search thoroughly, you will pick up anything you find automatically.
No actual movement happens, but you can think of it as such.
He used the :2thumbsup: in a reply to me! *runs off crying*
The totally inactive Pinman is hereby replaced with CCRunner.
Should Pinman return, he will serve as a replacement player.
How many orders now?
Not quite enough, and I have to replace a few players. As such I won't be closing this round until midnight today.
Due to inactivity, Tratorix is hereby replaced with Greyblades.
Should Tratorix return, he can be a replacement player.
Due to inactivity, Warluster is hereby replaced with Csargo.
Due to inactivity, Major Darling is hereby replaced with GeneralHankerchief.
And so on.
Are you able to edit the missing orders post with those that are still missing. (just making sure that mine were received)
I think I need orders from:
A Very Super Market (odd, since he's been active...)
Amsel
Captain Blackadder (also strange)
Confederate Jeb
Karo
King Jan III Sobieski
Leet Eriksson
Also my replacement players, hence the extension. To be honest I also need more time for myself to get situated; I like to deal with the random item/weapon generation process before I deal with the move/battle orders, and then I know what everyone's results are and it's the machine-like work of sending out 62 cards. That last part takes up half the time, but I believe it will be cut down a bit this phase because I have everyone's character card on file, I don't have to go digging for them this time.
Ugh, what have I gotten myself into. I think I'm going to need a turn or two just to get used to this.
The rules look complicated but it's actually not too hard. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly Greyblades.:2thumbsup:
They said that in noble sons too and it took be 3 turns of making an arse out of myself to get into it.
To make it simpler for you GB, this is all you need to do.
1. Where are you? Which square are you headed to? [Quick reference to what speed allows]
2. What mode are you in? Are you going to berserk? Vigilante? Cooperation? Etc?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
3. When do you run from combat? When your vitality hits X? When you lose Y%? Or when you are faced with overwhelming enemies? Your choice
4. Detailed combat orders, if any. Perhaps utilizing your terrain?
Either way, a quick 15 minutes or so read at Post #2 of the game thread in the "How to Play" section should do the trick and you should get the hang of it by the next order phase :2thumbsup:
Hope this helps, most of this info can be found either scattered through the discussion phase, or neatly arranged in the post comprising of useful and relevant information from pizza.
The legend of the map should also prove useful if your intending to do some things, or point of references to head to
Yes Greyblades; one thing I've noticed is the amount of information I've provided makes things look complicated. And there has been in practice a rule or two that has resulted in "huh?" reactions from people. Mostly this is in regards to what cooperation mode is and how it works, which was addressed within the last several posts, not too long ago.
However, it all boils down to 3 bits of useful information I need from you every round:
1. Are you moving or not, and if so, to where?
2. What mode are you in when you get there? (See list in previous post) Basically this means what are you doing and how do you react to the people you meet.
3. Do you run from battle, and if so, when do you do so? You can be very specific.
example:
1) Move 3 squares south
2) search mode
3) Run away as soon as there is battle
And if you wanted to be more detailed with your orders, you can tell me how you'd react to certain situations, or what weapons you'd use to fight, and how do you use them. You could even set up booby traps with found items in this game... be creative and I will try to accommodate you as best I can. But it's not necessary to send in a legal order.
Ugh, sorry for not sending in orders, ATPG: I've been hit with a series of (bizarrely) unrelated connection problems lasting for about a week and a half now, and have, unfortunately, been unable to get online for about 72 hours up until this moment.
I will send you something, but if it's too late, fair enough.
It can affect a battle, depending on what you do and what they do. But usually it won't, and if it did it wouldn't affect it that much. Maybe add 1 to defense for a round or protect against 1 damage point or what have you.
No matter how skilled your writing, you'll never make a frail dude with no gun kill everything. Gotta roll the dice really, really well for that.
quick question:
when does this phase end and so therefore when do we expect writeups? i'm a bit confused with the timing atm since i've not really been looking around on the org much :sweatdrop:
This phase was extended for 24 hours, and will end in approximately 5 hours.
I have everyone's items and weapon drops done,
I have all the battles complete (unless there are more from my players who haven't sent in orders)
I know basically what happens for everyone in the game that has sent in orders.
So I am already halfway done... writeup phase officially begins in 5 hours, and won't end until everyone has their phase 2 result character cards. Expect it to be finished within 48 hours from then, I predict this will go a lot smoother this time. No guarantees on getting it done in 24 for I am aiming for it. I want to keep it moving. Definitely in 48 hours though... then Phase 3 begins.
Good Luck
Ah yes... round two of me getting my butt handed to me begins now. :laugh4:
This writeup will certainly be... interesting. :2thumbsup:
