No worries, I'll be putting it to good use.
Eh, I feel like an idiot. Again.
TinCow - I've decided you will be able to make better use of the lenses than I. If you would like them, feel free to shoot our gracious host a pm to accept it.
Thematic name that's not really classy or subtile, yet not taunting. Perfect fit when I'm still alive and not cheering for them. I could go with the super awesome names if you want to. ~;p
For deeper stuff, they are usually using air and earth and kills people. Air -> heaven, earth -> earth or hell. So some sort of divine theme with (possibly corrupt) death involved. Requiemers?
We'll see tonight if it's them or mr elemental that needs a name change anyway. Good catch today!
Should have caught Arjos earlier really, voting me in day 1 was very scummy behaviour :clown:
Welp, good call khaan.
Perhaps you rockheads aren't so dumb after all. :clown:
I note that the instant we stopped playing the My College Is Better Than Yours game, and began acting like a town again, a scumbag died.
Cue heartwarming music from the end of a Very Special episode of mafia, where we learned the meaning of cooperation.
D'awwwwww.
Oh, man, have I gotten far behind... especially in Exp, lol. Maybe I should just start voting at the start of the day so I at least have a vote somewhere.
I'm still surprised that he refused a college invitation. I thought the whole setup of the game was that recruits should be the subject of paranoia because they'd be infested with scum which were hard to root out internally. Maybe there's some other mechanism at work that makes it advantageous for them not to join under certain circumstances.
Fools! TeamPlazmaFire will win all the games!

At this point, given that we've cleared the Aeromancer team as being scum-free, it would be pretty advantageous for people to join colleges if they haven't already.
Our team at this point is nearly masonic given that status. Although members can become corrupt, they are presently not.
My guess is that, due to the fact that we can request our members attack certain targets, tying them up for the night, that prevents them from doing scum-related behaviors. And also, outs them as having much larger AVs than they otherwise should have. If you're vastly powerful with air, then asking you to do air attacks reveals that.
Hence, the Air-using scumbag cannot be in the college of Air. And since all our membership was visible elsewhere during the other scum attacks, there's strong evidence that we cannot be those.
Folks who do not join colleges at this point must be viewed with extreme scrutiny. The masons were able to freely join with no ill effect. There's no excuse.
Khaan, I would request you scrutinize your own membership. I believe the air-using scum is actually hiding among the Geomancers. If they are in a college.
They will still likely have had enough points in geo magic to be recruitable to your side, and further, they wouldn't then go about using geomancy to attack people as it would point back to them.
For scum to blend in, during this game, they will need to be either not in a college at all, like Arjos, or using cross-college magic to hide their identity.
I can confirm that there is no way the air user scum has been attacking from within the Aeromancy college. There's also strong evidence that the water using scum cannot be a member either, because we are visible elsewhere.
You alone can cross off your own members as suspects because you know what everyone was doing, and you're a known townie. You should do what you can to eliminate suspects from your ranks, not only by tracking where people were, but also scanning those who have no alibi.
The water faction also likely has a scumbag in them, simply due to the sheer odds. They seem to be a rather big group, it would be easy for scums to have infiltrated them and gone undetected given their methodology so far.
Not necessarily true. You need to be more careful about that... if your college members are getting a discount for their Air AV, that's where a lot of their XP will go. So high and even mid-ranking members will have unusually high air attack in general. And it goes the other way too - a scum in your college (at the beginning) might have strong AV in other elements but a weak AV in Air at the start. For a scum to have stellar attack values in all elements seems a bit overpowered.
We also don't know quite how corruption factors into it. The rules state that the scum can use corruption-based attacks, which is also consistent with the fact that Arjos had the "Dagger of Corruption" on him when he died. That certainly doesn't sound like a nice thing to me. However, all attacks so far show up as elemental attacks of some kind. Or, at least, if there's been a corruption-based attack visible in the write-up I've overlooked it. So, that might mean that corruption just empowers the element chosen for the attack. If so, it's possible that scum could launch a strong attack with any element of their choosing.
Believe me, it's already done, Pizza. I am 98% certain that my school is free of scum. There is one alternative scenario where the 2% would be true, and if it is, we're already boned anyways.
Also, based off of that lovely shield I was given, my impression is that corruption essentially magnifies AV's.
That's correct.
In fact, as I am town and will always be, I had suggested to my team that I should increase my own corruption deliberately to massively boost my attack value.
This was decided against, mostly because it is too expensive.
I think I just saw a first for the Org...I have NEVER seen all of town come together like this to lynch scum by 10+ votes and be right. I am now going to go and honor the graves of all the innocent townies who died by relentless bandwagons and place some flowers.
Good job everyone.~
Edit:I also need to eat my word's, when I said town would never come together to lynch someone by 6 plus votes.:shame:

Looks like 'khaan rattled a few nerves.
Let me see, known innocent incorruptible with a detective device who just helped eliminate a scum.
I wonder how he knew an attack was coming? Clearly our scumbags are not very imaginative.
At least we narrowed it down. Pretty high-risk to all attack the same target when he was expecting it though. I feel it's like having a plan to assassinate the President of the United States even though you know secret service have a copy of the plans.:laugh4:

KNEEL BEFORE YOUR GOD
Also of note, I believe this absolves my college of scum- we discussed our plan quite ahead of time in quicktopic.
So, down to actual business. I'm quite surprised the scum went so hard for me. Three powerful attacks in one night was admittingly one more than I expected to get. Quite funny nonetheless.
Vote: Bsmith
He is the best lead I've gotten yet. He bears corruption, and his strongest element is air, which appeared in the writeup. I don't know if his corruption is necessarily high enough that he is scum for sure, but it's the best lead I've gotten. His thread behavior reinforces my belief here- he's made a whole lot of harmless votes, between a long-after-meaningful bandwagon on NinjaCow, a non-vote, and an abstain.
As well, I think I've established myself as someone trustworthy enough for this stealing item. Anything this strong should be given to someone who won't abuse it.
vote: issaikhaan for spectral hand
BSmith hasn't been very active anywhere (he's busy), and corruption isn't an indicator of scum (I started off with some naturally, due to my role.)
I'm happy to vote for him, but I'm not sold.
