Edit:
Not a good squad is it? :inquisitive: Expect a cricket score against the Spanish. :wall:Quote:

have preferred a gamble on a player like Nolan in there. :dizzy2: You need change
and you're getting more of the same.
Well, Boro are beating Arsenal at the Riverside, and Senderos was given his
marching orders. Should make things interesting.
Edit:
Reading coming up on the inside rail for the 6th spot. They are having a blistering season. Ipswich anyone? :inquisitive:
Edit:
Reading have been quality this season. They've shown a lot of heart.
About the England squad-reaaaaaally strange picks. Lots of injured/just back from injury players. Why are the likes of Jenas, SWP, etc, people who have not been playing a lot this season, in the squad before people like Nolan, Matty Taylor, etc, who're getting it done week in week out. I also have no idea why James isn't in the squad, he's been having a much better season than Robbo.
I would not be suprised if Spain absolutely tonk us, to be honest. Fabregas and Iniesta in central midfield? Argh. Villa and Torres are both a little bit good, also.
That's two endorsements for Nolan from the neutrals. Imagine the flak I'd get. :sweatdrop:
As a follower, no. He's just been not good enough, (or slim enough) this season. The captaincy aint done him any favours. Just my opinion.
:book:
You're probably right, IA, but I'd still like to see how he'd do in there all the
same. And yes, I've heard a few folk start to mention Ipswich repeatedly so
they can sound all clever next season. ~;) Reading'll be down there faster than I
can say "West Ham, 180 seconds away from the FA Cup? Aye, right."
Edit:
So, not long to go now. No Hargreaves, no Terry start, Foster in goal, Crouch up
front on his own - I'm not sure more needs to be said about England after that,
because plenty has been said about the absurdity of the selections already.
Barring a miracle I'm tempted to put money on neither of our teams making it to
Euro 2008.
The one positive I can take from the upcoming international doom for me is that
our man in Russia [Garry O'Connor, plays for Lokomotiv Moscow] is possibly going
to be back, and he is class - as he demonstrated by very nearly lobbing Grégory
Coupet. But we still haven't got a hope, not after losing in the Ukraine. Don't
mention Wales or either of the Irish teams, they're having disasters.
Looks like I'll be supporting the Dutch again, eh. ~:pimp:
As long as Fabregas doesn't get injured, I'll be happy. I don't expect us to win.
Are they playing a full first team?
Just checked, here's the Spanish first XI-
Quote:
ker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Pablo, Carles Puyol, Joan Capdevila,David Albelda, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, David Silva, David Villa and Fernando Morientes.
Apparently, Fernando Torres is called back into the squad but he won't be starting along with Xabi Alonso and Cesc Fabregas. =\
Edit:
Bloody hell, what a rubbish game.
Aye. Decent strike, though.Quote:

the top in their last game. Video quality poor, but the skill is still there. Link.
Always good to see a former Rangers player being put to better use, I say.
Tomáš saves the day, and 4th place from Bolton. :beam:
[Wigan very unlucky not to get a penalty and a 0 - 2 lead.]
hehe....we'll pinch that fourth spot off you.
Wednesday awaits. :2thumbsup:
What's with Henry and all the diving all of a sudden? I had respect for the guy but it looks as though Ronaldo has been coaching him lately....
Anyway the gooners could always sign This guy
:laugh4:

Classic.
[The smile has just been wiped from my face though, as I've just looked at the
listings and it seems I can't watch the FA Cup game at the Reebok on BBC here
- I'm forced to watch the Huns play in Israel.]
On the brighter side, here are some videos I stumbled across recently which I thought
were a bit special. They're from the Celtic Champions League wins against Benfica and
Man U. I thought the stv commentators I'm used to got a bit carried away, but this bloke,
presumably from Celtic TV is something else. Never heard anything like it, at least not in
English.
Man U game
Benfica game
[Serious volume warning applies to both of those clips.]
Arsenal have to stop with this last-minute come-back stuff, it's not good for my nerves.
I mean really, it's getting ridiculous.
Here's Becksy working on his street credibility:
https://img299.imageshack.us/img299/9707/becksbf9.png
He's endorsing Disney parks in an American advertising campaign. David Beckham plays the part of the gallant Prince Phillip from "Sleeping Beauty," atop his trusted steed fighting the evil dragon. The tagline reads, "Where imagination saves the day."
"There were many Disney characters I liked as a kid," said Beckham. "Now my sons love the Disney characters and it's a big part of their lives, a big part of many children's lives around the world. So to be part of that is an honor and very exciting.
"I love going to Disney, I'm like a big kid," he added.
Now you've gone an' spoilt it all! :laugh4:
BTW congrats on the award my ol' Gallic friend. :2thumbsup:
I'm no fan of Beckham, but I do hope that Fabio Capello took a long time to
chew on this one. [Even if it was far more fluke than skill.] How hard it must
have been for him to applaud that.
Not that impressive. 'Keeper should have gotten to it.
