Something amusing from the Brittania campaign in Kingdoms. Here we see King James of England, who was recently crowned when the original English faction was wiped out and the Baron's Alliance took over.

And here, within marching distance, we see King Leonard of England, also recently crowned King of England when the Baron's Alliance took over.

Given the nature of the Baron's Alliance historically I suppose that's not too unrealistic, but it is pretty funny. Oh, and 'King Leonard' is funny in it's own way IMHO.

I know it is possible, but it insanely expensive, a lousy rebel settlement is in the region of tens of thousands of florins, not something you can do at the beginning to get a quick start. In your example I'm assuming you make a lot of cash and you're buying settlements from an ally as a means of conquring him without declaring war.
