Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Oh, you're right. I forgot about the abandoned attacks. (And about the CH honeytrap, for that matter.)
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Some folks I've left alive because they're no threat to anyone.
Usually I kill them off because that's lame, but Beefy is everyone's favorite lurker/absentee townie. He also is not usually this bad.

Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Aw Niklas, I love that you lied through your teeth about the Clemenza mades being able to have a choice in who would get Capo :p
If only you weren't so predictable in those lies.

My question to Niklas and Chaotix is, if I had spared him today, would that have been enough to make amends, or would you still need me dead before you could side with the Clemenza?
Honestly, ATPG, if you had spared me, it would have been an insult.
You made the right choice in terms of the story- it just wouldn't feel right siding with you after all that effort and then almost lynching you to death.
I am satisfied with your decision; there was never really any choice in the matter at all.

You were being attacked by Ironside because he had narrowed it down to you and one other as the serial killer. I didn't stop him because between you and the lawyer, I needed the lawyer slightly more and if you were the serial killer you were a threat to us as well.
In turn, I had you attack Ironside because you had nothing to lose at that point, and if you weren't the serial killer I still needed your help in removing folks for the family, and I wanted you Made and part of the family.
It was possible Ironside would be protected or Lucky but usually surgeons don't get that lucky as to counterattack, they have a 1/6 chance. Nobody has enough to be Surgeon general yet so attacking protected targets was still relatively safe. The odds, plus your being targeted directly by the rogue, is what killed you.
No, I didn't want you dead at all, but I also determined who the serial killer is. I was hoping you'd get lucky or we'd have the manpower to protect 2 people, but we didn't.
:wall: Sorry. If we had protected you and lost Dave, it would have been even worse. Plus if we protected you and you still died because of Surgeon counter-attack, what a waste of manpower. Couldn't take the risk.
I still cannot believe you were not a made yet. You had enough sanctioned hits and thensome.

It wouldn't have been an insult intended. It would have been me saying, in effect:
"Chaotix, you're a notoriously untrustworthy, devious, cunning genius, and I am willing to risk the entire game one more time just for the chance that you'd be willing to side with me in spite of everything because you ARE that awesome."
I realize it wouldn't have been right for your idiom, but I don't care about that. It's really the highest compliment I can give you. Sorry you'd take it that way.

Who's the serial killer, then?

Renata, you're more than capable of solving it now. I'll tell you if you need to peek but seriously, you got this.
That goes for everyone... and if you solve it, don't shout out the answer publicly. Let people have some fun solving it already!
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
I don't think so, Pizza. If it's activity that can solve it, I've never had remotely a full accounting of Stracchi or townie activity. I couldn't even rule out Niklas on that basis until last night. I can't get it down to just one.

Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
I believe I was a bit unclear with that post, but I do understand what you mean. However, I stand by my decision, for reasons that I do not feel I need to make public.

2. Town victory for yourself? Its a solo victory, its not a town victory, which is only going to happen if the mafia lose. Last time I checked, Clemenza is mafia. That's not fair for all the townies who gave their all this game, for them to be backstabbed by their own people when it came to the finish line.
If the status quo is continued so to speak, and Chaotix ends up lynch, its a guaranteed mafia victory with your life only available to you at pizza's whim. That's not a town victory Nightbringer.
Edit:
And by extension Nightbringer, if you say that the Insurrection is inherently against a town victory, role-wise, that is true, they are mafia, but so is ATPG.
Fact is that insurrection don't want Clemenza to win, we're swapping guaranteed loss to the mafia for a possible victory. If there is any hope, this is it.

I have a lawyer if you're interested, mister Nightbringer.
You see, when you do things that peeps disapprove of, and they might get angry and threaten you with death, I always call the law offices of Dave and Shack. Guaranteed to put law-abiding citizens behind bars, and criminals back on the street where they belong.

Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
I'm half-tempted to post the writeup myself at this point, but this is GeneralHankerchief's pirate ship and he's the Cap'n, not me.
I'll be swabbing the poop deck if anyone needs me.

Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
And what makes you so sure of the result? Your overconfidence is your weakness.
And no, they're not my friends, and I don't even have that much faith in them.

Because GH already posted it, Chaotix be dead sire.

Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Misunderstanding, ATPG is talking about last nights lynch vote results that are already known not the night results.
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Tonight's night actions:
Clemenza kills the doctors
Doctors become vigilantes and kill the communist
Rogue detective kills the Corleone
Serial killer massacres the Clemenza
Tomorrow:
I drop an anvil on the SK
Me and the rogue detective win as the last two standing..... or we battle to the death using baseball bats covered in poison-tipped spikes.
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
I have a small question - what happens if a 'loop' happens with night actions? For example, if players A & B try to kill player C, and players C & D try to kill player A, what is the result?
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
Both kills go through and Players B and D are left glaring at each other.
-
Re: Capo di Tutti Capi IV [In Play]
I'm still pulling for the Corleone, even if they have a slim chance at best. Either way, this has been an incredible game to follow and be a part of.

I think that's how Spock made the ship go back in time to save the whales.

Sorry to disappoint, the Corleone are sipping Mai Tais on the beach.

Pizza, remind me not to play chess when I'm sleep-deprived. I just dropped a pawn in the opening for no good reason whatsoever.
(I won the other one, though. I think he gave up. :crazyeye: )

I think you're just dropping pawns so that you get to watch them pick em up. You shameless flirt.

It's New Jersey in November. I'm wearing a warm coat. I'm a very practical mafia Donna. I probably have sensible shoes, too.
Niklas, on the other hand, is dressed like this. Except he spilled a Mai Tai on his white shirt and had to take it off, poor thing. He does well in the cold, though. His papa was from Sweden, bit of a Family scandal there.
