So you are saying, Podolski, 6th in the all time German Top Scorers, who takes 4.7 shots to every goal and scored 18 goals on 85 shots at a rate of 21% (compared with RvP's 30 goals on 174 shots a rate of 19%) is really, not that great. =P
What's happening in Belgium that you've suddenly decided that having better beer, chocolate and ice cream than England just wasn't enough, and you should also have a better Football team?

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
Podolski looks pretty good, I think it's only a matter of time before the rest of the team figures out how to get him the right passes. Cazorla was a steal, very impressed by how he has done so far. Giroud looks lost.

Since Britain decided to get into Cycling.

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
I thought the general consensus is that Poldolski has never shown enough at the top level to be considered a real top player?
Re: kid without feet. I don't know, but it looks like there's going to be massive stress on his shins from direct impact while running.

Yes he kinda failed at Bayern Munich, so he went back to his mid table German team (Köln). Scoring 5 times in 25 games his first season, 6 (24 games) times the next season and only 2 times in his final year at Bayern (27 games). The year after he scored a decent 13 goals and only last year did he have a good season again for the first time in 5 year with 18 goals. He's not bad, but he isn't a real top product in my opinion. Not at all like Van Persie who can kick a bal in the top corner while running away from the goal whit a defender is on his back.
Edit: He's be a catch for a team like Fulham, but not for the team Arsenal is or at least should try to be. They're loosing their image and status as a top team if they don't start to perform good again soon and at least challenge the title.

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
He's also 2 years younger than RvP, who had only twice before last year scored more than 20 goals a season -- 20 (2008–09) and 22 (2010–11). RvP reached his peak in the last 18 months, and with the supply he's likely to be getting from Cazorla, I'd be hopeful he can also reach his real peak. Plus, you know what Wenger has done and can do with those talents that haven't really lived up to their potential yet.

Dempsey, you are no closer to the Champions League.

Is it me or does Tottenham have really little creativity among their ranks? Even if they had succeeded in bringing in Moutinho.

He's already done more than him in three games, a goal and assist! So no, not like Park, unless you mean Ji Sung...
"You're getting sacked in the morning'' and "You're the Spurs of Merseyside" sang the away fans, tough times for the red half of Liverpool.

That is a good one! I do hope Everton is going to be the club of the town for the future.

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
I was just worried you might bring up the fact that we lost by the same margin to Stirling Albion...
-
Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
Why would I bring that up? You lost to a team at the same level as yourselves, anyone would agree that the Primera Liga is a far superior league to the SPL. ~;)

This may be a bit obscure for most of you but Zulte-Waregem won against Club Brugge and remains leader of the Belgian Jupiler league
:on_pigdance:
And as cherry on top it lead to Leekens (coach of Brugge) being fired. He always was an arrogant prick without loyalty but abandoning the Belgian national team was a step too far.

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
Watt happened there with Celtic Glasgow?

Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
Yeah, their win over Barcelona.
-
Re: LEN Teh Footy God's Footballodium
Oh, you mean Glasgow Celtic. :clown:
This is how a Celtic fan described it on another forum:
Quote:
You just have to look at the relationship between Barcelona and Celtic... FC Barcelona 'Més que un club'.... more than a club... They lost at Celtic Park on Wednesday but they did so with great class as they knew they had lost not to skill, not to tactics but to the force of a people and a cause.
Yep, a few Celtic fans are getting rather carried away. Apparently it's right up there with winning the thing in 67.
Scots...

Abramovich sure has a quick trigger finger. Thanks for the FA Cup and European Championship Roberto, don't let the door hit you on the way out. :inquisitive:
