Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 23
Current Strategy: Destroy everyone
Current Priority: Punish the Ayyubids
"Superior navy" was severely damaged and routed out into the middle of the ocean by Sindh defenders, the settlement in question by Ayyubid forces is nothing to Sindh. Next, the cavalry arrives to punish them.
Ghaznavids down to final settlement, Ghorids as well. Allied with Rajputs, peace with Khwarezm, advancing on Abassid lands, building huge navy.
Edge: Match is still even, but short term advantage: Sindh

Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 24
Current Strategy: Destroy everyone
Current Priority: Punish the Ayyubids
Destroyed the Ghaznavids.
Destroyed the Ghorids.
Omani are still dead.
Spotted main Ayyubid fleet. We laugh at what we are going to do to them.
Spotted Sultan Salahuddin... Maneuvering our forces to destroy Priority Target
Took all of southern Iran (rebel)
Destroyed Ayyubid invasion force, part I.
Sindh is now invincible... those who invade will be destroyed.

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 25
Current Strategy: Economy
Current Priority: Withdrawl of the eastern empire.
Movements: My 2nd smaller navy destroyed, Spies seeing there even matched navy at ports. Seeing there towns and seeing there incomes. Seeing my eastern exapnsion and seeing there income. Deciding to give up the eastern empire dream, I've told my whole eastern empire garrison to go away, I've destroyed my own cities trying to get what ever is worth in money. Throwing them all in Very High Taxes. Withdrawing my armies that were going to go on a fruitless campain against the Sindh's to Mecca, One of the holy cities of islam that can't be given up. So long to my eastern empire.
I am sure that this is the smartest thing to do. I hope that all agree with me as well. The eastern dream was a failure and all if in my place, would maybe agree with me.
Troops recruitment : The strongest ships in the game.
Troop Releasement : Half of my military
Agent recruitment : none
Cities let go : 5

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 25
Current Strategy: Destroy everyone
Current Priority: Khwarezm, Abassids, Rajputs
The Ayyubid threat has gone away, spies report. A shame. I was looking forward to smashing Saladin's skull open.
We turn our attention towards the Abassids, whose fine and bloated cities will be excellent to sack, and the Rajputs, whose Chauhan brothers have been destroyed. The Khwarezm have also left themselves wide open.
Everywhere I turn, computers are making defensive blunders. More pillaging for me....
we have spies following Saladin around, just in case he decides to become bolder than a rooster, but no less dead for that. Graphs favor the Ayyubids for now... but a reversal of fortune is coming for them.

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Grog (Turks) v ATPG(England) Turn11
(LTC3.1. VH/VH, no holds barred~)
Egypt were destroyed this turn by the green horde.
Successful Jihad vs Baghdad.
3 sieges in place, one could be a tad risky~
Spy network is growing and spreading, economy beginning to spool up, population is growing exponentially, production strong and consistent.
Now is the time to find the tricky balance point between expansionism and development for Jihad 2...
Now that our respective holy wars have ended, it will be interesting to see how much the LTC mod restricts our blitzing :smash:

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 29
Current Strategy: Destroy everyone
Current Priority: Rajputs, Khwarezm, Abassids, Seljuks
Oh how the mighty have fallen... Sindh continues it's insane growth, and now leads the Ayyubids in most categories. As we prepare our final assault into India, our forces have captured Baghdad and have crippled the Abassid faction. We plundered over 30,000 florins from the once-mighty Caliphate.
I pronounce myself Caliph of all Islam!
Only the Ayyubids dare question my authority over all Muslims now. Our forces have massed at Baghdad, such that the Ayyubids had better watch themselves.
We continue to push into Iran and Turkmenistan, leaving a trail of death behind us. None resist us, mighty Caliph!

ATPG Versus Grog
England vs Turks, LTC 3.1
Turn 12
Strategy: (hidden)
France and Scotland were obliterated this turn. Our economy is booming. The Turks continue to wander into a trap.
I have put Plan X into motion. We will see if this one is as successful as the last.

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
I am glad you appreciate!
By the way, I am planning on doing a full-blown AAR thread regarding Sindh, similar to my Bloody Crescent: Rise of the Turks thread, based on this duel.
Whether I win or lose, this will give people some tips on how to play Sindh.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Tip #1: don't play Sindh unless you are a super-insane blitzmaster
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 26-30
Current Strategy: Turtle
Current Priority: Survival
I never exactly killed Jerusalem before, now seeing it's might of horde, 5 stacks against a very weak top, the Makarians soon to invade, Watching my ally to the west get obliterated by the sindh's, I fear if the blitz's master does not hurry up with his blitz, he will not find any more Islam in the western half. Gathering forces what I have, I expect of the invasion of the Jerusalem people, Sindh's, ERE, Turks, Makrians, and Armenia all very very shortly, The graphs are already showing it, The decline of the empire has already started.
Troop recruitment: Alot of units
Building: Dirt roads
Agents: Spies,

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 32
Current Strategy: Turtling / Economiest
Current Priority: Gathering a Large enough force to Crush the invaders.
Well, My plan is some what working now, with a steady income, now it is time to expand again, but then watch the Sindh's armies march to the door steps. I will Expand once again,

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Malikate of Sindh (ATPG) versus Ayyubid Sultanate (Merlox), BC 1.5 with hotfixes.
Turn 33
Current Strategy: Turtling / Economiest
Current Priority: Gathering a Large enough force to Crush the invaders.
I am just about finishing gathering my last hope of defending my kingdom, The armies are soon to be all in place led by the Great Sultan of my country. Though, It is hard to tell if I should engage the incoming Sindh's.. Or send my armies away from the incoming sindh's to take over more land. I am in no shape to defend... The sindh's taking over many lands at a time. If I turn my back on the sindh's, they will kill me, if I keep my back turned on jerusalem, they will kill me, What a grand plan i have going on atm. -_-
Military: Gathering all of the armies I can, even that the sindh's will think twice before sending a small invasion force at... Lost my most outside castle to Jerusalem.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
All right, ATPG told me this duel would be "just for fun". Who knows what the blitzmaster does for fun, though? :laugh4:
Turn 1
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: War with Ayyubids
Military: Captured 1 Ayyubid castle
Recruitment: Infantry
Building: Town halls + brothels
Money: 3000
Here we go. This is a faction that I can use well, unlike the Georgians that I'm playing with against Merlox.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
ATPG, sorry, but I don't think I can play turn 2 tonight. I'll do it tomorrow.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 2
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: Nothing new
Military: Besieging 1 Ayyubid city
Recruitment: Infantry
Building: Nothing new
Money: 0
My cash is all gone... gotta keep conquering till I start making money.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 3
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: trade with Makuria
Military: Took 1 Ayyubid city, moving towards a rebel one
Recruitment: nothing
Building: Nothing new
Money: -700
Wonder how many cities it'll take for me to start turning a profit.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Word to the wise, Jerusalem's army is among the most powerful in the game, it's also the most expensive. Even your infantry costs 300 per turn.
Think twice before recruiting too much heavy cavalry too... look at their prices...
Turn 3
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Rule the North
Current Priority: Uniting the Steppes
Diplomacy: Alliance with Ayyubids
Military: Up to 7 provinces from the 4 starting ones.
Recruitment: mercs
Building: none
Money: Deep in debt
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 4
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: Moving my sole diplomat back out of Sudan! :laugh4:
Military: Took 1 rebel city, moving into Ayyubid heartland.
Recruitment: nothing
Building: Nothing new
Money: -500
Slowly starting to tun a profit, I believe, due to all the soldiers that are no longer alive from my last siege. :laugh4:
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 4
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Rule the North
Current Priority: Uniting the Steppes
Diplomacy: Alliance with Turks
Military: Took two settlements, beseiging 4 more.
Recruitment: mercs
Building: none
Money: Out of debt, but nothing amazing
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
I'm probably not gonna continue the game until tomorrow
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 5
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: Not much
Military: Took 1 Ayyubid city
Recruitment: decent but cheap troops
Building: repairing walls that I couldn't before due to debt
Money: 800
So far the Ayyubids have been complete pushovers. I've taken 3 of their cities and they haven't shown any resistance. I don't know whether to be happy, annoyed, or concerned that a full stack is gonna pop up outta nowhere.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Turn 5
ATPG (Kypchaks) vs Chaotix (Jerusalem)
Current Strategy: Moderate Expansionist
Current Priority: Killing Ayyubids
Diplomacy: Not much
Military: Took down a half stack, besieging 1 Ayyubid city, moving out to another
Recruitment: not much
Building: nothing
Money: 200
Finally found some Ayyubid resistance in the form of a half stack of decent troops. They couldn't do much to my heavy-armor infantry, but they did manage to take out 3/4 of my heavy cav. I still have enough troops to
besiege their castle next turn, but I don't have cash to recruit new spies so I can take it in 1 turn.
Question, ATPG: When you besiege a capital in BC, it auto-spawns troops, right?
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
answer, yes... some more than others. avoid constantinople.
-
Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death

Re: Open challenge: Duel to the Death
Unfortunately I don't have enough time to play against you ATPG. But I would really like to hit you with some nice poisoned arrows...
Edit: I also happen to don't know how to play on Hot Seat games.:laugh4:
