Basileus' and Chancellors Reports

Chancellor Report, Summer 263 BCE

Buildings
The formation of a new government in Alexandreia-Ariana has begun. In a year and a half it will be completely settled as a Satrapeia Seleukeia.

The hard working builders in our glorious Arche have finished the homes for our military settlers in Pergamon, so that if the Pergamese people should decide to revolt, we will have the soldiers there to help us out. In Halikarnassos, some simple drainage has been installed while a Melathron Epitropou is now at the governor of Charax's disposal. What's more, Amaseia has now offically a satrap of ours.*

Military
The second unit of Caucasian Archers have been trained in Mazaka, and the pantodapoi phalangitai and thureophoroi of Sarpedon's Royal Army have been retrained in Ipsos.

Internal affairs
This season saw a general increase of taxes in the Arche. Ankyra, Antiocheia, Mazaka, Amaseia and Antiocheia-Margiane are amongst the affected settlements.

Farmers outside of Antiocheia-Margiane have also reported worry over a small band of Pahlavan horse-archers that passed through the land swiftly. The conflict at our north-eastern border is heating up.

Foreign affairs
No news to report.

Intelligence
A large Ptolemaioi army has been spotted besieging Bostra.

Misc.
Captain Apollonides has temporarily joined with the 1st Lydian Army during their march west. Captain Artemon has reached Antiocheia, while Basileus Antiochos with his Royal Army has moved south within striking range of Hierosolyma.

Basileus' Report

Moved my RA to a river crossing between Hierosolyma and Bostra. We will see some bloody battles there!

Also moved 2 Caucasian Archers to Amaseia and those 2 Caucasian Archers that already were stationed in Amaseia I moved towards Sinope.

Moved a unit of Akontistai to Ankyra.

Units in Antiocheia should be retrained. I plan to use them as reinforcements to my RA.

Chancellor Report, Autumn 263 BCE

Buildings
Planning has begun for regular festivities in Pergamon and Mazaka. Because of the instability in Zadrakata we have also begun building Katiokai, homes for military settlers to come and suppress the populace.

Military
The peltastai unit from Sarpedon's army has been retrained in Sardis, as has the units in Antiocheia.

Internal affairs
A Pahlavan army has entered our lands again. It doesn't seem to have any intention of capturing cities, but an eye should be kept on it never the less.

Foreign affairs
News has come from Hellas: our allies, Makedonia, has signed a peace treaty with the Koinon Hellenon. Hopefully this means they can focus more on the bigger threat: Pyrrhos and the Epeirotes.

Intelligence
Nothing to report.

Misc.
A new baby has been born, and whoever named it chose the name "Basilinna". Check with your wives if you are not sure whether it's yours!

We should all also congratulate Nikarchos Asterias Syriakes who got married this season.

Chancellor Report, Winter 263 BCE

Buildings
Men has been sent out from Ipsos to contact tribes and caravans in an attempt to have them move through there, bringing wealth through trade, at the exchange of protection. Halikarnassos is in need of some levying system, so a Syllogos Strateumatos is being prepared there. Because of some recent traffic through there, Ankyra will be getting some proper roads as well, while back north-east some Katoikiai have been ordered in Hekatompylos.

Military
In Ankyra, a unit of Galatikoi Kluddolon has been raised for Sarpedon's Royal Army.

Internal affairs
Basileus Antiochos has been attacked twice over by some Ptolemaian armies, and won some great victories.

Foreign affairs
No news to report.

Intelligence
Nothing new to report.

Misc.
Moved Sarpedon's army back to Ipsos. The Thanvare Payahdag that Hermokrates used to help him has been returned to Karkarthiokerta, while the Caucasian Archers have reached Sinope.

well I took a pantodapoi from Mazaka and fought a battle, got a heroic and returned the unit.

Done, engaged a group o' rebels just east of Apameia, clear victory, battle report submitted. Moved back into Hekatompylos with the Army and reset taxes to high. Chancellor, please retrain 1 unit of Shivatir-i-Pahlavanig, SOT updated.

Basileus' Report

Antiochos' Royal Army besieged Hierosolyma.
It would be nice if Theodoros Syriakos would keep Ptolemaioi small armies away from the Royal Army.

Following recruitments should be done:
In Mazaka - Caucasian Archers for Amaseia garrison.
In Side - Unit of Akontistai for public order reasons.

Ordered Pantodapoi Phalangitai and 2 units of Jewish Spearmen to move towards my RA.
Also, Prodromoi and 2 Toxotai units from Antiocheia have been moved south towards my RA.
If they arrive there I'll send some other units to Antiocheia so that new recruits could join them.

Chancellor Report, Spring 262 BCE

Buildings
With low funds and lots of things to spend it on, not much could go into new constructions. However, we could afford preparations for city-state festivals in Sinope, which is ill-needed for the public order, as well as katoikiai in Amaseia for the same reason. No constructions were finished this season.

Military
Yet another band of Caucasian Archers have been raised in Mazaka to keep order. The same goes in Side where a unit of akontistai were created.

Over in Hekatompylos, a unit of Shivatír-i Pahlavarig where retrained, and another was raised to replace a unit of Asiatikoi Hippeis that was disbanded. These were all belonging to Phanias Lydikes' satrapal army.

Internal affairs
Shortly after Basileus Antiochos laid siege to Hierosolyma, he was twice attacked by the Ptolemies, and won two new victories, and taking the city in the process. The inhabitants were taught what's what and were subsequently enslaved, but rumors among Antiochos' men say that the good man has had trouble sleeping since then.

Taxes were also lowered in Sardis.

Foreign affairs
Nothing new to report.

Intelligence
Our vigilant guards have detected some foreign agents working in Hierosolyma, undoubtedly for the Ptolemies, but unfortunately they got away.

Misc.
Sarpedon Syriakos and Mikithion Phoinikikes have moved to Ipsos to join with the Royal Army, and the Galatians under the Kleronomos Basileios' command have camped together with Nikarchos on its way to Ipsos.

Apelles Iliou have also been moved towards Babylon, as instructed.

Have arrived literally just outside the walls of Nikaia with the 1st Lydian Army.

OOC: When i say literally, i mean it. The darn inch of movement points means i gotta wait a whole nother turn to actually besiege the place, but all is well and i will definitely bring us a victory.
