Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
You do realize, Stig, that there's a very small line between those two things.
And how can the town still win?

Night 8 Orders:
No change, I'll just stay dead. :smartass2:

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Oh well, we made our best effort to win.
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
No matter what happens, I think I have the best chance of staying alive.
It is extremely likely that both Andres and Prole will go down tonight and they will take Sasaki with them, leaving me as the sole survivor. Which of course, is fine by me.

If I roll a 4, 5 or 6 on the vigilante kill

A vigilante?

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Oh yeah, Prole and Andres are both vigilantes. That's what has complicated things a bit.
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
You will find out after the night m8

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Night 8 is over, Game is over.
Prole and Andres were walking through a deserted town. Houses were empty, streets were empty. At the end of the road they could still see the house of Omanes, behind the crates of Heineken.
In this deserted town Andres was doing his best Clint Eastwood impression, slowly he walked towards the now empty pub. He forced the door and he and Prole walked in.
In it were two men.
"We've come to get you," Prole said, "your fun is over Sasaki, and yours too GH, I thought you were with us."
"Things change, times change. I'm an opportunist, I do what suits me best," said GH.
Andres reached for his pocket and Sasaki and GH took a step back:
"It's over face it, Heineken will never have a place in Gah-village, get out, now you still can!"
And Andres got a bottle of his home made beer from his pocket and drank it.
"We do what we want," said Sasaki, "afterall we're Heineken."
Sasaki grapped for a bottle of Heineken and threw it in Andres direction. Andres who missed a proper reactionspeed due to the fact he drinks beer was to late to avoid it and was hit unconsicous.
In reaction Prole took a teaspoon from here pocket and threw it at Sasaki, who started laughing, got the teaspoon up his throat and couldn't breath anymore. He fled outside, could be heard vomiting, but was never seen again.
GH, smarter then the lot simply pulled out a gun and when Prole saw this she fled the pub and with this town.
GH was left on his own in Gah-village. His former friends were gone, and his employers were gone. Everything was gone for him ... so he walked into the pub again and poured himself a beer.
Game over
And I don't know what to call this, both sides reached their victory limits, so we'll make it a:
DRAW

"Killed:"

As a barman you talk to everyone visiting your pub, and yes everyone visits your pub. And you don't want people to go and drink Heineken, as it's cheap and you will make less profit, so you ask them what beer they prefer, and you know that only Heineken drinkers will answer "Heineken", and you also know that every good villagers would rather leave town out of embarrasment than drink Heineken. So everyone who says he drinks Heineken is evil. However asking the question over and over again is too obvious, so you only dare to ask it once a night
IE. you PM me with a name every night fase and I'll tell you if that person is quilty or not.
If you have any questions ask me.
Stig

Sasaki didn't drink any Heineken last night
This is where you lied, Stig. As I made clear from the role PM, you told me that you would tell me whether or not they were innocent. This is not what you told me, you told me whether or not they were doing scummy activity that night.

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Khaan I said: if you don't like it, tough luck
I simply didn't tell you anything, ever heard of doing something on your own? Geez show some initiative, I simply won't give you every secret of the game, would I do that the fun would be over. Would the town have won I would have never heard anything about this from you.
To me a PM saying:
Sasaki didn't drink any Heineken last night
Would sound atleast dubious, if you see it otherwise, tough luck
And that's the last I've said of it, be glad a mafiagame atleast managed to finish, or do better yourself.

Good game Stig. Thanks for hosting.

Good game stig, and thanks for a very cool role.

First to end in a Draw, I think.

The way I see it GK, I would have asked Stig if it was possible to have an innocent result on a guilty target.
Because the rules stated there were 3 salesmen that get 2 kills every night, I would have asked him : "What will be the result if I investigate a Heineken salesman that doesn't perform a kill on the night of invesitgation?".
That's what I usually do: if I get a role in a mafia game, I spam the hosts' inbox with a lot of questions (most of them utterly useless), trying to cover all options, to a degree of getting ridiculous. Everything that is not 100 % clear or that is still open for interpretation needs to be sorted out. I make the host earn his pay check. And in the process, he might mistakenly give away some clues too
But off course that's just my control freakish personality.
Bah, I think it's just one big misunderstanding and nobody really is to blame. Give each other a virtual hug and forget about it :knuddel: It's just a game anyway.
All in all, you did a great job as a detective and you managed to stay alive until very late in the game
Oh, and I almost forgot: Congratulations mafia ! Well played
I suspected Sasaki to be the converted one. Guess I was close. And GH fooled me all the way :shame:

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Yeah.. good game Stig.
It was fun and thrilling right up to the end.
Contrary to Andres I had a feeling that GH was the converted one.
That is why I didn't inform him of what was going on.
But then I fed that wolf Sasaki with incriminating information of what was going on behing the scenes.
To bad the vigilantes only had a 50% chance of succeeding, otherwise it would have been game over for the mafia last round.
Andres even made an attempt on GH before GH was converted.
Ichigo was easy to spot... And was on our list early (Seamus' list).
I nailed Shlin with a little trap and we thought Tran was the last one as he desperately tried to save Shlin from the gallows.
We removed the other possible converts though, that counts for something.
I bet Xdeath's suicide was a suprise for the mafia.. it was for us. Too bad we lynched Beefy that I had pegged as innocent by the trap I sprung on Shlin.
The detective, a law-abiding player, wouldn't quote his pm's and therefore we never actually received the wording of the innocent reads. When we finally did it was clear that Sasaki's read was different than GH's.
This came in the eleventh hour and we had one chance of correcting our mistakes. Sadly Andres failed again.
Only Prole had some luck with her attempts.
Good game Ichigo, Shlin, Sasaki and GH it was a pleasure to contend against you.

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Fun game.
Didn't know Andres was hunting me too :dizzy: -- but then again I brewed my own brew, so..... Had I not been heinekilled so early on, I might have saved a person or two and helped edge the draw into a win -- but since I was revealing info to Andres at the time I would have guaranteed my own death! Doomed....doomed...doomed in all mafia games. :shame:
Glad I was able to spot Ichi and Shlin -- though I was never quite as certain as Sigurd makes me seem. Both twiged the radar for different reasons. Sasaki slipped past me though.
Well played, Sasaki. You have been redoing your 4+/ppp average downward for several games now, so that when a mafia role occurred, your NOT posting as voluminously wouldn't get you killed. I admire long term thinking.
Good play all.

Not really... we were glad that it was one less person we had to kill.

Indeed. It's always a fun challenge going against you.
I think all in all neither side was as in control as we thought privately.

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Good game, a draw is the best result I think since there were a few problems.
I'm a big fan of explicit pm messages. Misleading the detective is never a good thing even if he should have figured it sooner.
pm'ing to dead rules and private reveal rules. After a few rounds there was a giant pro town mason group going. None of them were meant to be masons.
suicides shouldn't be allowed. Otherwise townies can suicide before being lynched and the next player will be lynched. This effectively gives the town 2 lynches.

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Well, good game anyways, Stig. It was exciting to the end, and despite the irritation, I still mostly enjoyed myself. I guess you and I just differ in our approaches to the game. And of course, good game, mafia. If only Sasaki had been heinekilling that night instead...

The concensus was that we believed you got converted at the time of your conversion.
We also had a quicktopic going : http://www.quicktopic.com/39/H/fk9m4s8Xstqc/p-1.16.0
It will be our commentary.
