Wow... simply wow... I think you've out done yourself hoggy.
amazing hoggy...... i have said it once but i'll say it again (at least i think i have): you are a legend
Absolutely brilliant!!!
Goodness.
I don't ever want to have to fight the monk masters. ~
Man, who would have thought they'd see spell effects in RTW?
Very impressive.
Those monks are awesome!
BTW, are we done seeing new units or are you going to do the monguls.
ha..monks are so cool...
And just look at the explosions for those thunder bombers! I loved those little suckers back in STW...same with the Naptha Throwers of MTW...
I cannot believe it... Every time I think this mod could not possibly become more promising, hoggy posts some more screens and it does...
i did not think it was possible . . . hoggy, you have out done yourself, the monks look so-uber . . . . playing as them will be awesome (even though they have a lack of units, they will be playable right? with a little modding . . . .) i may even be looking forword to this more than EB! :dizzy2:
This looks like it's shaping up to be a truely excellent mod. The stylised look of the new units seems to fit in far better with the style of the battlefields and the premise of the mod allows for plenty inventive types of units. Plus the inherent excellence of having the far east as a subject, something which too few games pick up on.
Keep up the good work!
These monks are awesome, brilliant work !
finished the standard bearer and banners. here's a shot of the monks lined up for battle:

Hoggy, this thread is probably the most enjoyable at the org. ~
True true, cool as usual!
is it possible to play the monks in custom battle? because damn, that looks awesome.
i thought the batix thread was? oh well, this one is great too!Quote:

Incredible stuff as usual. I mean it. The stuff in this thread is unmatched by any other mod.
That portable monk's shrine...is that a tiny inkling of what we can expect in the BLTW architecture for the cities? That is very fine..
BTW, just what is the significance of the Blue Lotus?
have you thought about adding an Indian Yogi unit to the monk faction?
You can't say it wouldn't fit.
HOGGY, whats next rebels or monguls?
Jimbob - Monks will be available to the custom battle and obviously, with a bit of modding, playable in the full game too although they aren't intended to be playable.
ramareddy- Indian yogi sounds good, perhaps after the first release.
King of Atlantis - I'm starting on the rebels next. After that I'll intersperse mercenary unit building with campaign map model building, battle buildings and environments and animation etc.
So, no more monguls. :embarassed:
there are two more mongols to come, I'm just waiting to hear from Pixelgenie who was building them. If not I'll be doing them after ther rebels.
Wow Hoggy. Look like you were rather busy while i was away. Talk about coming back to a treat. Everything looks amazing. I especially love your standard bearers. Keep up the utterly amazing work.
Whats the latest from blindfaithnogod and sykotykrampage?
so did my terracotta idea get through to you? (if not look in the army lists)
Chilly5, the idea to include the terracotta army into the mod (one way or another) has been discussed before. I think we all have to wait and see if there will be some terracotta army in the mod. If so I think it will be a building or wonder. IF it will be a unit choice, then I think there is a chance that it may be included in the next release, if there will be one that is.
ok . . . . ~
First of the 'Rebel' faction (ie any unoccupied area) boar spears:
