ATPG, you are awesome. I love that you just outed Beskar as a dead-to-right mafioso, and claim to be doing it in defense of him.
Chaotix, this may end up being a short game, but it may well be the most drama-dense game in Org history. Well done.

Oh also, if Beskar is not mafia, he's definitely got to stop killing. So hows about not killing anyone tonight Beskar, lest you die tomorrow?
Eh?
If you kill anyone tonight, my sweet little peach, I will be voting for you tomorrow. PROVE that you're actually third party, and don't kill another innocent.
Meanwhile, protector needs to leave Beskar alone and cover Seon, he's the only one in the game I find credible at the moment. I would be tempted to say protect Winston, but I got a funny kinda feeling he's still not being honest somewhere.

ATPG, you really haven't thought this through very well. You seem to be forgetting that Beskar was 'trusted' by a person with the mafia X-Ray Visor ability without being investigated. Still want to advocate he's a third party?

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
The living townies need to get a better grasp of the game and work together here, get some coordination together or something.
Just because many of the more vocal and headstrong players are dropping like flies doesn't mean that you should default to popping up to agree with a dead player's suggestion and vote accordingly before vanishing entirely.
You're essentially being directed by dead players, a serial killer and a 'third party'; the town isn't going to win that way.

Well, I'm talking about it because I developed a useful axiom in another game.
Vote for one suspect, question another. That's better than pressuring only one candidate
Pressuring Beskar is fine and dandy. I've been discussing and sharing info, and putting the pressure on people; I know that Beskar is not Dark Samus mafia, so he is useful inasmuch as he will be trying to destroy said mafia.
But at the same time, Tincow's accusation regarding X-ray vision seemed valid to me. I never once trusted Beskar's investigator; no one should be that powerful this early.
I've been saying all along that Beskar's investigator friend is likely scum. he's no basic townie. Tincow's been saying it too, but from my perspective, it's probably valid.
Since I couldn't get Beskar to rat out who this investigator was, I've had to do my own investigating; and players like Seon and others who have been cooperative have been invaluable. The investigation result on Tincow was also invaluable, but in the back of my mind I realize that Beskar probably has a mafia contact or is third party.
If he is indeed third party, I need to know who his investigator is, or his story is a lie. I CANNOT be corrupted and I will die soon anyway, and I'm only interested in finding Samus.
If he's not third party, he's Samus mafia and won't give up his investigator because his investigator is in fact Samus mafia. So he's a threat to me and everyone else for not being honest.
The only, only thing that can clear Beskar of being Samus mafia, is by me knowing who his big badass investigator friend is.
If he's Samus mafia, that's game-ending for him. He can't reveal it. If he does, town is VERY close to winning.
If he's not Samus mafia, this is the move he has to make to survive.
Sorry to nail you to the wall like this Beskar, but you're not in a position to negotiate. Give me the goods. Goods or GTheckO.

I will die before that happens, I think.
As it stands, I think I have to kill Winston, while town lynches Beskar; or kill Beskar while town lynches Winston.
But, I will have all my defenses removed tonight, I think. The mafia has enough attacks to make that happen, if they work together.
I won't be able to win the game unless I personally kill Samus tomorrow; so it's not going to happen.
But the only thing preventing it from happening is a mass kill from the mafia team. If you guys don't all target me, I am going to win with the town.
Tick tock.

I just switched my kill to Beskar. I have to go to work. You want Beskar alive, keep protecting him.

Incorrect.
I am actually a third party, I am Princess Peach, in a alignment similar to the last Council of Villians game when I was Waluigi. I have my conditions which include getting rid of the anti-town, there was no issue with the town which is why I have never harmed any pro-town roles whilst knowing them. There are seven that revealed to me, none of them have been hit at night by us when I can have easily done this.
Even though Winston Hughes is the whole ability situation up (I have no plasma cannon), it was an pathetic attempt by Dark Samus team for revenge. Which was as clear as yellow snow, however it seems Pizza decided to backstab me and give up his chance at victory.
If the town wants to declare war, I will arrange the systematic killing of pro-town roles with my partner, in preemptive strike in the interest of self-defense.
The choice is entirely yours.
Have a powerful ally who can win with the town against the mafia, or doom yourselves in your haste for believing mafia tripe.
Oh, as for Sasaki, he was killed because he was revealed by TinCow and TinCow is the sort to reveal his mafia partner as a town. Reenk was killed for claiming to be a 'awesome role' and was trying to form a voting block which acts independently of the town, hence killed for being suspected scum.

No, you didn't say anything other than TinCow being in this voting block as well, as you thought he might have been responsible for Reenk's death. TinCow was also scanned anyway as he was even refusing to co-operate preferring to be more 'individual', which looked scummy, especially as he was the only one.
You also cannot talk about private communications when dead, so you are rule breaking.
edit:
Long story short, I am Star Wolf and Winston Hughes is Pinman, the mafia trying to get rid of me. You can either have me around as I did in that game, dealing with the mafia (which thanks to the Star Wolf team, the town won), or you can follow the constructed mafia tripe from Winston and lose a powerful ally.

I'm forbidden from revealing information that isn't already public knowledge; however, since you told everyone about the existence of a voting block, information that was otherwise unknown by the town, it gives me some scope to comment on it as it's now public knowledge.

Well, sure, in that now I understand why this entire game has progressed the way that it has. It's a rather stupifyingly unlikely Rube Goldberg-series of events that started with Reenk's attempt to entertain himself, and has so far resulted in the deaths of two mafioso and the pending deaths of another mafioso and a serial killer. The question I now have is just how far this domino effect will go; will all of the scum be wiped out because of Reenk's Reenkishness?
It's really rather remarkable when you think about it.

Reenk (v. - Reenked/Reenking): The act of creating a single post or PM that, through a complex series of unlikely events, results in the total or near total obliteration of all scum in a mafia game. (e.g. "TinCow, Renata, ATPG, and Beskar got reenked.")

"Finally, you have broader considerations that might follow what you would call the ‘falling domino’ principle. You have a row of dominoes set up, you knock over the first one, and what will happen to the last one is the certainty that it will go over very quickly. So you could have a beginning of a disintegration that would have the most profound influences." President Eisenhower

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I'd like to comment that I heard a lot of people earlier talking about conversions. No previous CoV game had conversions (except maybe Koopa Troop, I didn't quite get what happened with Peach and Dimentio), and I don't see any reason to believe in them now. There may be townies that can win with scum, that was established in Rubicon, which Chaotix says this drew on.
Now, if Winston's claim is true, let's see what we have in terms of known teams in the original setup.
GF Survivalists-??? - One of the main townie teams.
IFDH Survivalists- ??? - Another townie team.
Heroes- ????- The final known team of townies
Meta-Ridley-1- Scum/Neutral- Claims to just be out to kill Samus and Dark Samus.
Phazon Corrupted- 3?-Cloud Strife, Dark Samus and Corrupted Pikachu, traditional scum team.
Team Samus/ ??? Corrupted-3 - Samus, Hot Girl, Cold Dude, traditional Scum team.
Peach and Bowser-2- Neutral
This leaves 38 to be in our townie squads, which is plausible, there might even be one or two more neutrals out there.
Edit: After reviewing Koopa Troop, I suspect Luigi of being in this game somehow, likely as part of the heroes. He died in CoV1, got resurrected for Koopa Troop, and his "lynch" was an escape. Chaotix loves him. Also, Koopa Troop did have conversions, so conversions do seem plausible/likely,

I'd prefer you guys not reveal the names (I'd like to do this again but it seems unlikely now).
Lastly and most importantly:
Secura is right in a way. The town needs to start up and finish this job off. TSo you guys should just burn out what's been burned out (meaning KILL BESKAR) and go from there.
Therefore I'm gonna even change my position on Atpg. Keep him alive for a bit more if you like, but if you don't have any good leads for a night Atpg might as well die. We certainly don't need him to win, and there is so much time at this moment that minimizing his potential risk is worth losing his protown services if that is truly his goal.

Anyway, all I'm suggesting is that we form a voting block of sorts in the early round. I'm sick of my vote being meaningless, and I also can't convince anyone of anything, so essentially I want to vote in a group of several people together which makes my own vote have more power.
Also, I hate reading 600 posts per day when the game begins and thus I never do it, and thus I always miss that one important thing said.
So if we briefly discuss to ourselves who to vote for and then all decide on one candidate, we go a long way to solving the problems of being weak and unheard and ignorant! :2thumbsup:
We only really have to do this in the early round anyway, because early on, at least I don't really have too strong an opinion and will go with the group (if the group is small and good like ours), even if I'm thinking someone else.
We can always just dismantle our voting group later on when it becomes useless or we disagree too much.
By the way, can we even vig/protect in this game?
It fell apart quite quickly since we didn't know if we could pm to multiple people at the same time inside the rules and RR:s death. I didn't have any contact after that.
Notice that RR mentions those that didn't join and that Beskar isn't on any list.
Could be something else, but there's high odds that me (in fairness), Beefy or pever are allied to Beskar, who in turn feels to be on team Samus.
I must say that if even if those left are all townies, that's quite a high percentage of mafia. At least 2 out of 6.
Edit: RR, I'm doing this because from my perspective, there's a high chance to have a scummy among the two others.

Also, Koopa Troop did have conversions, so conversions do seem plausible/likely,
Converts were possible in Koopa Troop I was dementio in that game and i could mind control people into doing my biding.

Sorry, I'd already asked him to!
I would have loved to participate in the group had it been permitted... it's just a shame you misinterpreted a poor vanilla townie's scepticism as being suspicious and that you invited Dark Samus and her toyboy along for the ride!

I like this.
As for the voting block, nothing ever happened. I quickly pointed out to Reenk that, at that stage, it was against the rules. I was jealous, I wanted it to be like old times. Just me and Reenk.
Due to the time differences, before we could work anything out, he was killed.
AND IF BESKAR DID IT, BY GOD YOU WILL SUFFER.

Yeah I know, butI got woken up by the need to go to the can. I'll leave at that, but I do know that I will need some more sleep in the afternoon.
I think we are the only two here playing mafia. There are some on other site, but I am not sure if you are a member of them.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Trying to post this before I die.
Sequence of events:
1. Tincow is revealed to be scum, I contact him before he dies, let him know I'm neutral (want to get murders off of my back)
2. I reveal some of my powers to others (want to get lynches off of my back)
3. I find out Beskar claimed incorruptible hero, and since town already trusted him, I tried to. (Wanted to coordinate my actions with town's)
4. Pressure on Seon leads to hunch on Renata
5. Pressure on Renata leads to me being exposed.
6. Renata is lynched
7. Pressure on Winston (hunch, based on his behavior) leads to Winston accusing Beskar.
8. I already suspect Beskar knows a mafia investigator, if he's not mafia himself. At the time, I believe Beskar is innocent.
9. I find out Beskar has killing powers due to Winston's pressure, he reveals to me.
10. I put more pressure on Beskar, again accusing him of being Samus mafia. (Yes, as buddy buddy as I acted publicly, I was constantly questioning and pressuring Beskar privately. I needed to know if I could trust him.)
11. He reveals he's Peach and is working for Bowser. Claims his partner is Doopliss or something. Look it up on the mario wiki.
12. He says Bowser isn't even in the game. Story seems almost plausible.
13. Since my neck is on the line and a reflection on me, whatever Beskar does, and I still don't trust his investigator, I demand to know who this person is. Beskar knows I have zero motive for killing said investigator unless they are Samus.
14. Beskar refuses to reveal. That plus the fact he didn't fully reveal to me to begin with tells me he doesn't trust me, even after I fully revealed to him. As such, there is no possible partnership, I do not work with people who are constantly dishonest and secretive toward me.
15. Under massive pressure, Beskar reveals he knows who Samus is, privately. At this point I know he's covering for Samus mafia, or is Samus mafia.
16. Beskar refuses to reveal Samus. I switch my order to kill him.
17. I die, the end.... :laugh4:
This is how mafia goes. No hard feelings, Beskar. But I can't trust you; I revealed fully to you and you continued to be secretive and deceptive towards me.
Darn thee thou cursed mafia... from the depths of hell I STAB AT THEE

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Night 3
After the disappearance of Meta-Ridley, the crew of the GFS Olympus was at a loss for what to do. Clearly they had a dangerous dragon on board who was somehow posing as one of them- a dragon who also happened to be the leader of the Space Pirates that the ship had been initially en route to attack. But Meta-Ridley had also destroyed Dark Samus, another of the greatest enemies of the Galactic Federation. Nobody would be taking any chances tonight. It was certain they’d all be up late securing a defensive position.
Barrett never missed sleep for anything, and tonight was no exception. Besides, if anyone bothered him, he had a machine for an arm. You don’t mess with a guy with a gun at the end of his arm. It wasn’t like anyone else on this ship had high-tech arm-mounted guns or anything.
He was kind of bummed out about the death of his good friend Cloud Strife… still, he supposed he was better off dead than living under the control of the Dark Hunter.
Barrett continued to sleep peacefully, even when his steel door was kicked down forcefully. A huge, rotund silhouette could be seen in the doorway. The large assassin hefted his equally large hammer into the air. After pressing a button, the hammer roared like a jet engine and was sheathed in flames. This amount of noise, however, shook Barrett awake.
The muscled warrior sprung to hit feet and kicked the assassin in the face, causing him to lose his balance. Then he began firing with his machine gun arm and loaded up the assassin with bullets.
Or at least, he would have, if the huge figure hadn’t been spinning his hammer rapidly and blocking them all. The assassin smashed Barrett with his fiery hammer, sending him flying into the wall. The wall was bent and Barrett was stuck in it. The lumbering assassin walked up to the stunned Barrett and whacked him with the hammer again, this time sending him through the wall, as well as the next two behind it.
After checking to make sure he had hit his mark, the dark figure waddled away into the depths of the ship.
Earlier, she had been approached by a small, yellow, mouse-like creature. The mouse had seemed friendly and playful at first, but after a few minutes Amaterasu had realized that it had glowing blue eyes and stared at her dementedly whenever it thought she wasn’t watching.
When the creature had suddenly launched a powerful electric blast at her, she was prepared and dodged, then began to run away. They were now in the midst of a cat-and-mouse chase… or rather a mouse-and-dog chase. Amaterasu dared not look behind her, but she heard the creature’s shrieks and the objects exploding with electricity behind her.
Finally, she hung a hard left into a corridor and left the creature behind. She continued sprinting through what appeared to be a large room used for communications- which had long been abandoned since they were cut. She kept running until she bumped into a large, armored figure with its back to here. The figure turned around immediately and aimed its gun.
Amaterasu had escaped from one danger only to encounter another. The Hunter charged up her arm cannon, and an orb of pure light energy began growing steadily at the end of it. The white wolf was paralyzed with surprise, caught like a deer in the headlights of a car. From behind, she heard the yellow mouse bounding into the room, bristling with static electricity and growling.
There was a blinding flash as both the light beam and the thunderbolt were fired at her. But when Amaterasu opened her eyes, she was unharmed. A huge, chiseled figure of a man stood next to her, holding up a powerful force field that blocked both attacks.
Both the Hunter and Pikachu were shocked. Then they noticed each other, and each quickly retreated back into the shadows. Amaterasu looked back towards her Captain, wanting to thank him, but he was gone without a trace, as if he had never been there at all. Amaterasu hurried back to her quarters.
Down here, near the Cargo Bay, nearly all of the lighting equipment had been destroyed when the ship had been struck. Now the crew knew that Meta-Ridley was the one who had forced his way on board. Gandrayda thought that the dragon had probably lodged himself in the Cargo Bay itself, since it was one of the only rooms large enough for him to move around effectively. Since there was no lighting, not many had dared to venture down here since the attack had begun.
In fact, there was only one other crew member who had been down here previously…
Jill Valentine had her gun pointed directly at Gandrayda.
“There’s something very dangerous down here… it’s best if you leave at once.”
The look on Gandrayda’s face was a mixture of amusement and confusion.
“What’s the matter, Jill? Not scared, are you? Besides… if it’s so dangerous, why are you down here yourself?”
“You need to go, and you need to do it now.”
“Why’s that? So you can finish your little chat with Meta-Ridley? Is that it? I’m no fool, Jill. I know what you’re up to, and I know what you can do… like this!”
Gandrayda produced a large ball of flame in her hand and held it there. Pallor passed over Jill’s face, and a red glint flashed in her eyes.
“You’re wrong, Gandrayda. You are quite the fool, and have sealed your own fate. Down here, no one is going to hear you scream!”
The illusion faded, and Jill Valentine’s true form was revealed, lit by the flames in Gandrayda’s hands.
Princess Peach, corrupted by an evil force, stood before her. She produced fireballs in her own hands, identical to the one Gandrayda held, and threw them at her. Gandrayda dodged, and began fighting fire with fire.
The cat fight continued, but Shadow Peach was gaining the upper hand. She had clearly had more practice using her own powers than Gandrayda had. However, there was one watching from the shadows who interrupted their battle.
Meta-Ridley swooped in from the high ceiling and shot a massive fireball into the midst of the battle, throwing both combatants to the ground. The massive dragon landed between them, and faced Shadow Peach with a devious grin on his reptilian face. He began slashing at the dark princess with his razor-sharp claws, and she was barely swift enough to avoid the attacks.
Gandrayda was almost mesmerized by the battle. She could have easily slipped away at this point, but that was not what she came to do. She saw only one possible way to come out on top.
The bounty hunter took a good look at Meta-Ridley, and then jumped onto his back, grabbing hold of his metal-plated spine. The dragon was confused and disoriented, and Shadow Peach managed to blast him in the face with a fiery attack. When she looked at the damage, though, she was seeing double.
Gandrayda had shape-shifted and somehow managed to take the form of Meta-Ridley. She lunged forward and grabbed Shadow Peach in her new talons, and then flew high into the air. She opened her mouth to launch a fire blast at the princess, but she was not yet used to this new form.
Shadow Peach seized the opportunity and blasted Gandrayda in the face with a fireball, causing her to lose her grip. Peach remained floating in the air, and reached forward herself, gripping Gandrayda by her scaly neck. Burning the bounty hunter with her clenched fists, she dove and plunged her head-first into the metal deck below.
Gandrayda, drained of all energy, resumed her normal form on the floor. Shadow Peach stood triumphantly over her.
“Hmph… at least I’ll take you with me…”
Shadow Peach wondered for a moment what she meant as the light left her eyes. Then she came to a dreaded realization when she heard the growling behind her.
The princess was impaled by Meta-Ridley’s tail, sharp as a spear, before she could turn around. When Meta-Ridley withdrew his tail and dropped her to the ground, however, she did not bleed. Wisps of red and black smoke left her body, and she screamed with hatred and agony.
When all of the dark energy had left her body, Meta-Ridley caught a glimpse of her eyes, in their normal, sparkling blue coloration, just before she lost consciousness.
