And Forbes has a good comment on that.
It's like people have lost touch with reality or are so submerged in computer games that they forget about the real world.
At least on the internet.
Oh yay, a sequel for Rayman origins is comfirmed. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty

I haven't been following this one up till now but it sounds very interesting and very different. Time to jump in!
South Korean developer might buy EA!
On the one hand, new management might do EA good. On the other hand, Nexon specialises in MMORPGs, and that...is not good.

That's pretty good, it's about time realised that games are ....................................games
Sony is making a smash brothers copy for the PS3 - which will feature 'All-Star' 'characters' like "Fat Princess" - and fortunately the devs have assured us that they've "captured the essence of her love of cake". And Kratos is in there too. Apparently that's a logical matchup. A cake loving fat princess versus the god of war.
I kid you not;

So, Bethesda have finally announced the first piece of DLC for Skyrim, and it's about darn time!
Shame all we know so far is that it's called Dawnguard, will be initially exclusive to Xbox 360 and will be released sometime this summer, though. I would've liked to have seen something more concrete than a single promo image, it's been so long since the game was released.

Black Ops 2 announced, four corners of the gaming world react predictably.
Personally, I think it looks quite good and I'm sure I'll play it eventually, but the annual cycle of the series has gotten me all Duty-d out; I'm only just getting to grips with MW3 and I still play Black Ops quite often (gotta love Zombies), so where I'd fit this game in among all the other things I'm likely to be playing, I don't know.
I think they need to slow down and address their current issues first; poor weapon balance, ridiculous killstreaks, lag, cheaters and an increasingly immature community (the amount of times I've been called a b*tch or sl*t!)... shame Activision only care about money. :/
Hey I wanted to post that. Can't say they are afraid of taking a different direction
*sigh*
I cant be the only one who says that the CoD series goes for quantity over quality, right?
Also probably has something to do with 2 different studios making two separate games at the same time. I mean, MW3 came out late last year. This is crazy. Its like one every year. Just goes to show you that the modern CoD series have no staying power.
It's literally one every year, and they do it on purpose to maximize their cash cow.
Since CoD 1 in 2003, there's been:
1
Finest Hour
2
2: Big Red One
3
4: Modern Warfare
World at War
Modern Warfare 2
Black Ops
Modern Warfare 3
That's 10 games in 10 years, not even counting the portable versions and spin-offs.
I can see why the games are fun, but personally I can't stand them. I played CoD4 a decent amount but every game since then has been exactly the same, with some new maps and different guns and increased exaggeration.
Having a new game every year just shows how shallow a series can be. If you need a new game every year to keep interest, then something is wrong.
They are trying a lot of stuff this time, it's quite ambitious.
This might be photoshopped, but company of heroes 2 is coming!
A MMO Elder Scrolls (Skyrim, Morrowind) game is in the works:

Makes sense that Bethesda take some time with the Skyrim DLC, otherwise they would get people whining that this should've been in the original game and they probably developed it simultaneously anyway etc. ~;)
Also Call of Duty is boring and they not taking any real risks either, they just want you to think they do but they really don't.
Company of Heroes 2 might be interesting, especially since the Eastern Front mod seems to be stuck in the mud.
I would like to see a Wehrmacht campaign in CoH2. It's interesting to see the german soldiers' opinion on the war.
I also hope they will utilize some early/late timeperiods. In 1941 the germans used tanks that were different from those in 1945.
Wehrmacht campaign would be cool, but I'm not sure how fighting back to the allied forces would translate in a game, and the push to Russia is too horrible to make a game about really.
Anyway Starhawk is out, adieu Battlefield 3 for moi. From the reviews I gather what I expected it to be, a rough diamont that not everybody is going to enjoy but for the ones that do it will be all the better. Even the reviewers who gave it a soso score are obviously secretly deeply in love with it.
New Risen 2 Patch blocks on disc DLC content.
As a cherry on top, it wasn't even in the patch notes.
Risen was a decent game, and I was interested in Risen 2 until I discovered the DLC strategy. Looks like I made the right decision staying away.

Talk about taking things seriously. I still have no idea what this game is but I just know it will be awesome

That's pretty sad.
Because 1. it took so long to get into a game and 2. it will probably take even longer until most games have it.
Other than that it looks great though. :2thumbsup:
