OOC Thread and Chatroom

It's just that according to rules the one who leads an army will fight the battle. You, everyone, and Baen were the leaders of the Legions. IF you two were unable to fight the battle THEN those others could fight the battle. At least that's what we have in WotB and I thought the same is in here as well.
Sry for causing all this trouble. What's done is done, we can't change that. I just wanted to know why it was fought by navarro. :shame:

I'm not sure whether navarro offered the save with the battle to any of the commanders or not.

Navarro did announce he would fight the battle a while before he did. Since I basically gave him command of my legion, he just moved Blasio to command it from Arrimium.

Hmm... when I loaded up the save I noticed a funny thing: I, who has been appointed by the game as the new "commander" of Legio I, is actually laying siege to Segesta - our own city! I am a traitor and I didn't even have a say in it! :laugh4:

There goes my plans of being a loyalist: right down the drain, just like my plan of being politically laid-back was flushed when I got the "Political Animal" trait. ~;p

It's pretty cool, and though I can't attack or build rams or such, moving my stack away triggers the "lifting siege warning". I've never seen this happen before. ^^

Glitch? Is it causing any harm?

Yes, it blocks trade and gives a 10% public order penalty. It's like a regular siege but with no attacking, but as I said, moving the stack away breaks the siege. I can't do that myself, though as I don't hold command over the stack.

Meh just keep on moving. Can you lift the seige and everything be dandy?

I think it would be safe to assume your allowed to move it for that purpose. Just move it past the city to the left but keep in the territory. We'll say it's securing the rest of Ligeria. We can just roleplay that you have taken command temporarily, or that its Cotta or Blasio commanding it, or whatever. I don't think it matters.

Alright, I will do that. I'll add me taking temporary control over it to my last post in the Curia, just to keep it more... chronologically correct, or whatever.

No need, I'll edit it into my post, will also explain my reasons for being there.

Hey yall, yes i did use Blasio and fight the battle as i control him. I would prefer to not use AI aswell, but for realism purposes I allowed it because Asina's legions was indeed part of that battle so i cannot command them. I have PMd everyone about a little something to decide where this will all finish up,( Been alot of conversation on this one) so he can talk to you guys here about that when he is on.

edit: If you ask me as Sh**Y as i feel about Asina dying, I do sorta think its just loaded with great RPlay and future fun. Just my opinion but of course more could of come out of him alive i suppose?

Hey navarro, i just checked the Library thread and it says i am a Legatus now. Is this true? If so when can i start using my privilages? :clown:

well their is a council at the end of 266 so then as far as legislation goes. And when the resources allow it a legion may be given to you. But its first come first serve so I move down the line of who was most recent in getting their promotion.

Baen - you need to update the Campvs Martivs legion rosters.

ya i went ahead and updated the commanders as now Legio I has one. Legio III will definently be created soon as were getting alot more money. By the end of the year well be making 10k a turn.

So what is the policy when the commanding Dux/Legatus of a Legion is killed? Does the Legion disband (they did this in real life, did they not?)

I don't think we should disband Legio I since it would be in the least of our interests considering of how small a power we are but once we have 7 or so legions scattered around I think we should start implementing a policy like that.

no it doesnt disband, TCV has Legio I now.

Il_Duce and YouHaveReceived have also participated in 2 battles each. So they are also ready to become Legates. Shame really, didn't get much of a chance for roleplay having them in the army

well I initially had the idea of using Asina's Provincial legion/dictatorship to expand to Greece/Sicily (whichever would come into priority first). then he'll probably get a few more provinces in Greece added to his dictatorship, then accidentally get an aid who's selfish/disloyal to help him govern/conquer using the provincial legion in somewhere in greece and etc. But now that I'm controlling Manivs (who's name is the same as Asina's drillmaster in my stories) I'll follow another plan.

anyway I made this line in my SOT just to prevent such stuff from happening again and making me randomly swear for almost a day cursing my misfortune, although everyone else around me thought I was out of my mind since the day before I was sanguine.

edit: Cicero starts as a Tribunus right? It most likely would be so I'm just asking this to confirm because.....it's part of my nature :smash:

hey just finished a few touch's on the library to get ready for next CC. Added a "former commanders" tab to the active legions part. hope you all like, after a couple decades that should be nice to have :idea2:

ALSO: when you guys make stories I ask that everyone adds a title of their own, some do but not all, it's easier for me when i update the history which ill be doing soon.

ANOTHER EDIT: we have 15 players and only 13 SOT posts. Take care of those guys.
