Roadkill: I misunderstood - you won't be getting a PM from TinCow. People's options are public, although you can also suggest others privately. You can see Lorenz's options in the Cataclysm Thread. I would recommend joining Karl Zirn if he is going to lead the night attack - otherwise, travel to Vienna to pick up another cannon (it should cost you 5 points, but you've only got 4 so I'll give you a discount). They are very useful for sallies. Duke Arnold may want to coordinate with you all though.
For anyone interested, this is the latest save after the Outremer battles:

GH: apparently TinCow has been more flexible about some recruitments, so PM me and him if you have a specific request. But I'm not that keen on bending the laws of space and time - unless it is to aid the poor AI.
Bob: the sergeant spearmen are basically the same as the armoured spearmen except for the armour and a marked step up from the militia (+2 attack, defence skill and morale). People don't know exactly, but the evidence seems to be that if you have a leather tanner, the benefit to your armour is more than just a +1. So your spear sergeants would be only two points worse than the armoured ones if recruited in any self-respecting castle. I think it is more sensible to group the sergeants with the armoured ones than with the militia - yes, it makes them obsolete, but it is 1342 and we are a great Empire, so putting armour on our warriors is to be expected. If you want cheap expendables, I am sure a player with a city would let you hire a couple of militia.
Sorry about my temporary absence. An old friend of mine from high school died last night in a car accident. I only found out about it this morning and it threw me off for a bit. I'm back up to speed now, though I also have a wedding to go to out of town this weekend. I will be taking my laptop with me, so I should be able to keep this going, but the pace may be a bit slower. Apologies.
I spawned them the same turn for turn 1, but it's really a question of balance more than any hard rule. We'll do whatever seems fair at the time.Quote:

It's the price of simplicity (if the cataclysm 'rules' can even be called that).Quote:

Current status of orders:
Given the delay in posting options, I will extend the deadline for orders until 19.00 UK time today (ie 24 hours after they were posted). If I don't receive orders, I will execute the safe * choice, which is generally not the best one.
No need to apologize at all. Your friends are more important than a game. My condolences.Quote:

Um - sorry: I did put you down as "received" then I went back to your PM entitled "FW: Wealth" and got a little confused as to what exactly you were wanting to do and so was not sure they were your actual orders. I guess I am suffering from coming in mid-way into a dialogue with TC. Re-reading it now, I think I understand your orders so I'll change your entry to "received".Quote:

I just pm'd my orders to econ and TC.
If you found something ambiguous, impossible or unclear, drop me a line. Even if you think its borderline on those parameters.Quote:

Gamemasters,
The decision will be a nightattack led by Karl. A good defence is a good offence.Quote:
So you have a green light to attack together if you wish, or, if you stay to defend Budapest, the others will also be around (Roadkill will go to Vienna to get another cannon, but leave his army).
OK, I have orders from everyone except Warluster and Ignoramus. Right now, I am going to set up some battles vs the AI for the weekend. If Warluster and Ignoramus supply orders late, there's a chance they will be implemented as I suspect this turn will run on until Sunday night.
I've implemented orders for most people except the Swabians and those around the peripherary of their civil war. I am leaving that hot potato to TinCow to sort out.
In terms of battles against the AI, we have three:
Northnovas (Karl Zirn)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Stig (Ansehelm)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Stuperman (Fredericus Erlach)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
First deadline to fight the battles - 24 hours hence, but there is likely to be another 24 hours period of grace if you desperately need it.

And another battle:
Warluster (Athalwolf)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Battle waits and since I will be leaving home for the next 24 hrs I will grab the save. Battling now!
Battle fought here is the save:

Good work, Northnovas. :2thumbsup:
Everyone has now submitted orders, so we people just need to fight the three outstanding battles and then TinCow can implement the remaining instructions and end the turn.
Do I need to update my recruitment orders, or is what we discussed in the Outremer thread going to be implemented?
What we discussed in the Outremer thread has already been implemented. :2thumbsup:Quote:

That save seems to be before the battle not after.

cool, cool I'm at work for another 5 hours, but I can fight the battle after that (aprox.6 hours)
There's no great rush. I'm about to get on the road. I should have enough time this evening to do the game editing, but the full turn write-up will likely not be ready until Monday night, since Sunday is all booked with a wedding. Mea culpa for the delay.
Take your time.
As long as you don't press the end turn button before sorting out Hans' suggestions for the turn, I'm happy :grin2:
Real life takes precedence. Enjoy the wedding. :balloon2:Quote:

No, it's good. There were two adjacent Hungarian stacks - NN used his night fighting ability to isolate and defeat one.Quote:
