That's what they'd be expecting! We can't have people expecting an inquisition of some kind, now can we? :no:Quote:

Honestly Tarentum starting without a port is just stupid.
I cheat because 5 stacks of halberd militia and trebuchets aren't fun.
You know man, you're only playing this game for yourself. It's not like your a professional cyclist or a baseball player, where there's tons of money flying around and little kids watching your every move. You're not going to win anything, only loose a few (hundred) hours. There's no grade and there's no reward. The only person who you'll be cheating against is yourself.
Personally I like to give my people random ancillaries. I have a fondness especially for loading up my princesses with tag alongs that have nothing to do with charm, such as choirboy, or a berserker, or fancy-schmancy armour. I also hate pagan magicians, and often will remove them... or turn them into regular magicians. It turns my frown ~:( upside down.:bounce:
Just do whatever causes you to enjoy the game more. That's what you're paying for after all, right?

If I just have some spare time and want to have fun then I usually cheat a lot ... add_money, process_cq, add_trait and others ... just want to feel like a "god" :beam:
Also I like to use the 8+1 trick to kill the enemy/neutral agents/princesses/priests .. surrounding the inquisitor and killing him like that is very very amusing  :beam: .. kind of inquisition of my own :laugh4:
But when I want serious game with a challenge then the only cheat I use is toggle_fow to see how the AI is doing ..
I used to cheat prodigiously, as well as modding the games to tweak any detail of it that I didn't like. However, cheating too much definitely spoils the game; even too much modding makes the campaign quite dull since although in theory it gives everyone the same advantage, in practice the AI doesn't notice anything has changed and plays as it would anyway.
At the moment I am in cheating rehab and am forcing myself to play through several campaigns on unmodded vanilla M2TW, painful though it is. I still use toggle_fow from time to time, to see how the world map looks.
Never used autowin; in fact for some reason I feel bad even using autoresolve. I generally fight almost every battle in a campaign, no matter how boring or one-sided. I don't know why I do this.
Perhaps you could compile a record of the world's most one-sided battles and try to push it during Robot Chicken? (viewer discretion is adviced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYBc7mte65k)
The only reason I play out extremely one-sided battles, like one unit of crossbows, is preserving my units at full strength. The most moronic thing is that I always end up mowing them down with just my general anyway, but if I SEND just my general he ends up losing a clear defeat. Somehow, in a logical world, these events should be mutually exclusive?
I cheat.
I also have no will power. This is a baaaaad combination...
"My stacks stopped 1 tile short of a siege? Weeeeeell, character_reset won't hurt. Just this once..."
But it's not "just once".
It never is.
"Ooo...4 florins short of that Citadel upgrade...add_money"
"What? They WON?! Reload, auto_resolve should sort that out..."
"They used to teleport merchants to Timbuktu for Ivory, right? move_character"
Soon I'm up to my eyeballs in gold chevron units, beaming all over the world like Medieval 2: Total Star Trek armys of doom.
The shame. THE SHAME!!!
