Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Thanx again for the feedback an encouragement, which is very welcome and truely the salt in the soup.
I'm a bit exhausted now, but will continue the work after a short break, because it's so so fun messing around with the graphics and stuff.
(On the other hand, making this one prevents me from playing the game, because I didn't manage to reach the present point in the current campaign with the story jet. And playing the game would be also exausting, as you probably all know.)
See you soon!

I especially like the little Roman that says he isn't there. Great stuff.

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Welcome, paullus and Korlon, I'm glad, that you dig the kind of humour, which is executed here!
Nixalsverdrus: It were no royal orders but holy orders by Lugos, the sun god
himself, who will appear to his devoted worshipper Geraint from time to time and give advice to him in poetical form.
Anyway, Chapter two is under construction now and will hopefully be posted tomorrow.

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
I see, my dear Nixalsverdrus. But these orders of the king became a poem by accident. I think I was very tired and didn't notice the rhyme, while writing it. But as I look at it now, I say: Yes it's a poem.
Maybe you think of Darth Vader, because that tragical hero of the dark side crawled inside the minds of us all and somehow survived there for good.
By the way, here is a link to a nice little youtube video, that shows us the master as an angry native speaker of the dialect of cologne:

Many thanx for feedback! I start to upload the new update in a minute.

what a funny little narrator..:laugh4:

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Yes indeed. It' Quirinus Kuhlmann (the older). The image shows original QK of the 17th century. It was used by him as kind of buisness card, mostly for fundraising in his religious struggle to cool down all humankind. Really weird story with him, but true.

:laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4: It gets funnier even. But why is the Pontic god called Zeus-Brontos? Really good and excellent photoshopping, QK the younger. Btw it was me who gave you your new nickname, right?:stupido2:

Nixalsverdrus: You are right, He's called Zeus Bronton, not Brontos, my mistake, I just mixed it up. Here's an image of his temple:

Yes, and it was also you, who gave me the new nickname!
Ayce: You are right too: I included the patch, because I wanted the story not to become too messy with all those naked men. They have to weir pants now, wether they want or not. They live in a "civilized" kingdom and have to make compromises in their behaviour.
By the way, if someone is interested in a Pontos-Savegame, 223 BC, with two Aeduan Family Members that were bribed under heavy use of the add_money cheat, aqnd with extremely dangerous ptolemaians at the borders, here it is:

Unfortunately the (recruitible) Lesser King Kyros is not in this save. I have him in another one, wich I can't use anymore, because I forgot to save, when I messed around with it to get screenshots. Now in this other save, the High King is captured by the Ptolemaians in a fort without a chance to be saved.
Does somedy know, if it's possible, to export a character from one savegame and implement it in another? Kyros would be thankful.

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Thank you for the quick help, Tellos Athenaios, I think that'll do it, though I didn't want to cheat anymore in this game. But to keep the Lesser King on track, I'll do it again.
Thank you too, RC!

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Congratulations! Your AAR has officially invaded my dream. Last night, I had a man in my dream who kept saying "I'm not here!" Repeatedly mind you.
-
Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Oh, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Korlon. And if he should come back, don't care too much about that man. He speaks the truth, he's simply "not here" (nor anywhere else).
In fact it's an honour for me, that my story ivaded your dream!

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame story
just remember, if you have a funny little man for a narrator who was burned at the stake in russia, then expact him to invade your dreams

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
When I read the last chapter, I laughed out loud behind my computer. Now that is something that doens't happen very often.
Great AAR ~:thumb: . Please continue!

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Don't worry, will be continued, but will always take a little time. Also, thanks to Tellos Athenaios, I have now a proper save with High King Anaphas and Lesser King Kyros, from where the adventure can start.

Re: The world according to the Royal Pontic Satrapy of Ankyra / A Pontos midgame stor
Great! I eagerly await the to see what adventures will befall upon our mighty heroes.

"Who am I!" really good staff, I like comic-styled AARs which tend to be/are very funny. Greetz from Regensburg nach Bonn, mit feiner Nadel gestickt die Geschichte, Respekt! ~

Oh, life's just how it is over there! Struggles, evil emperours, juggernauts and poetry.
Dear Tellos, I'm glad that you are asking for a new update. It took a little time, because I was very busy with my dayjob in the last weeks, but now finally it's done and I'll post it in a minute.
