Captain Alauddin, your warriors have fought with the venom and viciousness I come to expect from my subjects.
For your gallantry, and your skilled handling of the other Dark Warriors under your command, I hereby promote you to the rank of Dark Knight.
Further promotions will come in time. Do not disappoint me with your newfound responsibility. You will be granted a general, the one reinforcing Captain Amin.
everyone, please look at the save file for turn 5.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Lemongate: Your forces are assisting Rossahh's in taking Uch. Should be a simple, simple battle. You shouldn't lose much, if anything.
Rossahh: Your forces are ready to take Uch. I've even sent a general and some mercs to assist. The battle is easy, but I could auto-resolve the thing. Definitley fight the battle yourself, otherwise, whats the point? Right? :laugh4:
Ramses and Tristan: Your forces are moving south to assist in the Sukkur seige. After this battle, I'm seperating you from Merlox's general and giving you both priority targets. You will earn your stripes soon enough. See below...
Merlox: I've sent my faction leader and another general to assist you in taking Sukkur. Do not attempt to take the settlement this turn, you're under orders. If they do sally, you can fight defensively and win, but do not assault.
A spy has already opened the gates. I may decide to allow Tristan or Ramses to fight the battle next turn to earn their way, if the gates are open.
Captain Amin, The Dark Lord commands you to assault the city of Uch this turn. Fight well, my precious viper... do not hesitate, show no mercy. They will fall...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
please upload the save when finished and post here.
The city is taken and occupied, my lord. The welps died without mercy. Half were slain outright - the rest were captured and were put to a very grizzly death over the course of the first few days after the city's fall.
Our total losses were 65. 12 were healed from wounds - all from my companies. Saifudden lost 50 men, 1 of Farhad Nuristani's guardsmen was killed and 16 of my own died. For some strange reason Saifudden's Ghulams performed badly - almost losing to just 2 companies of mounted rebels, while my own Ghulams in the same fight lost just 4 men to the mounted rebels.
We are presently awaiting your orders, dark one.

I am taking the save and will be making any final decisions, then hitting end turn.
OK. Turn 6 is complete. I must have forgotten to build seige equipment last turn for Sukkur.
Everyone is now surrounding Sukkur for the seige next turn. This is the big one... if there is a sally, that would be wonderful, but it looks like we may have to wear them down before we assault.
Dark Army A - Ramses (Still Hassan) Dark Warrior
Dark Army B - Merlox (Knighted) Dark Knight
Dark Army C - rossahh (Knighted) Dark Knight
Dark Army D - Tristan (Still Nusrat) Dark Warrior
Dark Army E- Lemongate (Still Saifuddin) Dark Warrior
All are beseiging Sukkur.
If the enemy sallies, whomever is attacked has the option of fighting the battle or retreating so that a more powerful force may assault. Be careful.... EVERYONE's butt is on the line in this battle.
There is much to risk. Should you fail, you will incur the wrath of the lord.
The Dark Lord has died. A new Dark Lord has taken command of the Empire.
I am Sultan Muhammad the Destroyer, Dark Lord of the evil Ghorid Empire. You are all to swear allegiance to me as you did my father. Traitors will be executed... slowly.
I desire the deaths of the rebels at Sukkur... and then the bloody innards of the Sindh people must be cut out and smeared into the desert sands. None will remain alive, I have commanded it.
For now, you must wait and let the traitors cower in fear and let hunger consume them... then they will die by your hands, or you will die by mine.
EDIT: This turn is over, by my command. None of you have orders to do anything else.
Here is the save for season 7. Everyone take a look.
I would ask that none assault Sukkur this turn, wait them out. We do not need to lose troops right now, as our budget is thin for replacments and we have reinforcements en route.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Rossahh and Merlox, you both have been granted generals and the rank of Dark Knight.
Tristan, Ramses, Lemongate, generals are en route for you... just defeat Sindh for me and knights will be yours.

Re: Dread Knights of the Realm
Captain Hassan enters the Dark Lord's tent. He is covered in gore and sweat, and has clearly ridden straight from the battle. Before bowing he deposits a roughly treated head before his master, and then executes a deep bow, which he holds while delivering his report.
'My Lord I made certain to take his head myself, though it cost my company some good men. I have not come as quickly as I might have, because I had to whip the prisoners with some vigor to keep their pace up! Still, they have drawn a cart full of the finest slaves that could be found in Sukkur here and I present them now for your delight.'
'Alas, those fools who surrendered to my men will be of little further use except as sport. I would suggest an archery competition, as they are likely too weary to properly flee a horse and lance.'
'For the city itself, I freed the men to take their pleasure of it, and even now sacks of gold totalling over four thousand and four hundred coins are being added to your treasury. No resistance remains and order is exceptionally high in the city.'
'I wish to particularly thank you for the services of the Ghazi fanatics, who took many losses but butchered a bloody path through three companies of foolish rebels who dared stand before them. Only my own men slew more than they, and by a slim margin!'
'Allah be praised, soon you shall feast well and truly! One of these slaves I have taken was a rich man, with many goats, a great quantity of which are even now on the road behind me. I did not wish to run them too hard as I am told it spoils the flavor.'
OOC: 274 lost, 768 killed, 36 surrendered (More losses than I expected! The Ghulams didn't perform all that well even against weak light cavalry, so I lost around 40 of them split between the two companies with me. Most of the other losses were among the Ghazi or other cheap axemen. Next time I'll just burn the infantry and save the cavalry for charges.)
The Dark Lord eyes the severed head of the rebel commander, and after carefully inspecting it in the candlelight, he smashes it into a gooey mess with his war mace.
After dipping his crouton into the remains, he asks Hassan if he would like some jam on his victory bread.
Good work Captain Hassan. I hereby promote you into the ranks of my Dark Knights. You will be assigned a general, or if you prefer you may choose from the available ones nearby.
Now, my minions, let us feast on the spoils taken from the city... I have much to do tonight with my Sindhi slave women. Do not disturb me, or your head will be the next to be smashed by my war mace.

Witness the awesome power of your Dark Lord, Muhammad the Godfearer! There are no more Rajputs! Hindu people run and hide in terror of the man who destroyed both hindu factions!
My lord... I Qutbuddin, have done the task you required and took the castle Thatta. Though, We have taken extreme losses. The battle went to desaster at the start, when Both rams caught on fire by enemy towers. We had to depend on the Ladders to take over. We proceeded onward, when we got to the walls, All of the enemy was on the walls, the enemy sent there horses through the gates and surprised attacked the soldiers going up the wall, but they were defeated quickly.
Sending troops up one by one up the ladders to the walls, The enemy spear men holding us while there towers shot us down. My elite archers used flaming arrows and made the troops behind the current spearmen panic and run for the castle. That saying, We killed all the last spearmen, and proceeded down, As soon as we came into the fortress, we were met by continues charges, my men in exhausted, I told them to hold the lines. Moving myself and the other mounted knights to the back and charged there mace men, My elite archers shooting fire arrows at the continues charges, racking up the kills. The enemy general saw me and sent his body guard at charging with me, and I ordered my bodyguards.. my friends to charge at them. It was their last hope, We fought them, I managed to kill the King myself. outnumbered, I looked when it was over, It was just me, and One friend, all the rest lay on the ground motionless, besides one, that would heal. We won by killing every last one of them. The king of Sindh fought with a real warrior's heart. Defending his kingdom to his dieing breath.
But yes lord, With only 17 prisoners out of the estimated 250 of them, They really set there minds that they were going to die. We gave the 17 prisoner's to the troops. Who had there way with them to let out there grief of there brothers that had just seen the sun raise with them slain as for over 450+ of my men died. At the castle with the elite bowmen that has been with me from the very start, They are my pride and joy of the army, and I dine with them. For myself, I have let the men loose on the city, after they brutely exicuted the prisoners, Under strict orders to give any thing worth to me, and they can have the rest, finally, I have the enemy king's head for you. The King of the Sindh's people, has been slain.
Alright, I didn't get exact numbers, But it was not so pretty. 450 of my men died, mostly the ghazi's, mercinaries, all of my horsemen, and most of my general's body guard, Though, My bow men racked up a ton of kills and with out them being touched, still at 60. I have chosen to sack the city, around 4000 goes to your account now. but yeah, I don't want to replay the battle because I don't want to make myself seem like a indistructible war hero, (I could prolly replay it and get alot better) but yeah.. what happens in life happens, and there isn't any -redo- button. =x

Warrior Nusrat, you're up. Take the settlement, and a knighthood is yours.
Qutbuddin,
While I am most displeased that so many of my men died under your command, you have done as I asked and have taken the settlement. You will have to report back to Ghor for reinforcements, and to answer for those losses. However, since the battle was a success, and you fought with the viciousness I expect, and you did not waver... it will be a victory celebration, not a punishment.
To victory!

Re: Dread Knights of the Realm
Great and powerful Dark Lord, the last city of the Sindh has been sacked and the last king of their degenerate people has been dragged down, though not before he fled my face in utter terror! We began the assault with a distraction from the south using the ladder teams in my own force. A company of Pashtun warriors from my reinforcements then brought their ladders down from the north and assailed the walls, attempting to capture the north gate. I oversaw my bowmen firing over the west wall, costing the lives of many Sindh spear and axemen. Alas, the Pashtuns were turned back from the gate by the arrival of the Sindh mercenary elephants, though they took and gave many lives before they fled. The captain of the company than ran has, of course, been drawn and quartered already.
Thus it was that I was forced to break open the north gate with a ram pushed by Ghazis. Meanwhile fighting on and around the walls to the north and south had consumed the lives of most of the Sindh infantry, and at last the south gate was captured! I was the first to enter the city, immediately smashing an enemy company of axemen who were attempting to reinforce the south gate. It was glorious!
Soon the north gate fell, and my javelin companies advanced to annihilate the Sindh elephant mercenaries. When they ran amok they cost heavy losses among my javelineers, but also among the Sindh. As the few remaining elephants fled by the east gate the enemy king at last spurred his personal guard to join the battle, and directed them against my own guard. We were outnumbered almost three to one, so I called on some ghulams and veteran axemen to aid me in the battle. For many seconds I exchanged blows with their fool king myself, and, hooking his helm from his head I gave him a shallow cut above his eye when he barely parried my attempt to behead him.
At this he looked about, and realizing his guardsmen were all dead, screamed in terror. His horse reared, driving me back, and he managed to turn and flee before my men could catch him. At the square he met only more horror, as my mercenary axemen and ghazis were just finishing off the wounded and collecting trophies. He slew a few of them before they dragged him down and dismembered him entirely. By the time I arrived there was little left, but I have brought you his sword and many fine rings from his fingers.
Here the general displays a bowl with seven jeweled rings, several of which still have fingers within. Laughing uproariously Fakhruddin says,
The man's grasp on his wealth proved difficult to sever even in death my lord!
The city is yours, and so soon will be all the Sindh lands and peoples! Whither will I serve you next great master?
(OOC: I lost about 250 to finish it up, mostly among the Ghazis, weak javelins, and that company of merc spearmen. City was sacked for about 4100. The Org uploader appears to be down at the moment, I'm looking for an alternative.)
152 brave men died, but the town was taken an occupied. None of our enemies now live.

Lord Malik...
You have done well.
I hereby confer upon you the rank of Dread Knight. Your service to the Dark Lord has been noted and praised.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Should you continue to serve the Emperor well, you may advance to the rank of Dread Knight, and will be given the chance to remain as your assigned family member, or choose your own. With this advance in rank, you will be granted the ability to move your general and all troops under his command anywhere on the campaign map, so long as you complete your assigned tasks within the given turn limit. You must ask permission from the Dark Lord to recruit mercenaries, but most requests will be granted.
Under the terms of your vassalage to our Lord, you now have been granted the noble right and privilege to command your own forces in the field, outside of battle. You may now choose your own target, and hire mercenaries, unless otherwise specified.
Continue to serve your master well, and crush underneath you all who oppose us, and you will become a Death Knight, next in line for the throne itself, after the Dark Apprentice.
...Fahkruddin;
Bring me the head of another rebel commander, and you shall also be considered for promotion to the rank of Dread Knight.
Your prowess in battle, and merciless demeanour are impressive.
