Cheers. Been a tad tied up the past 2 days, but v0.0.4 Should be a fairly significant step forward, as It'll be the first to show a complete template for the faction pages. Should be very nice. Even nicer when next week or so, i get a new computer and Adobe Photoshop. might also upgrade from Inkskape to Illustrator for the formations.

EDIT: Expect v0.0.4 by Monday, but I'll be aiming for Sunday, maybe tomorow if it all goes well.

Have you checked older manuals, they might contain info you might be helpfull.

I've used bits of Stupac's one, and he's very kindly helping me with bits of this one as well. Are there any others?

There used to be one with a lot of unit army formations. Which someone made with help from abou.

You might also want to add the faction's histories to the manual. And you're abbrevations list contains a whole lot of spelling mistakes/typos.

Also if there's some small stuff I can help out with. Ask away. I can't awnser all questions, nor can I contribute long texts. But I do know who knows the awnsers, sometimes I can find them, and I'm willing to contribute some smaller parts to you manual.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, that thread with the fomations in it is something of a holy grail for me, asw I've been searching for it pretty much since I joined these forums. Do you know where I can find it?

Thanks for pointing out the typos, I'll trawl through to see what typos V.T. Marvin made (He wrote it :laugh4:), and correct them where neccesary.

I honestly can't find it! If I used that, along with Konny's army compositions, I'd have almost half the factions complete by v0.1

If you could, that would be fantastic. I'll PM you.

Oh, and everyone else, expect the next version tommorow. Maybe Monday If I add something big, which I have in contention, and permission. It's far from complete, and subject to change, but it's coming on nicely.

I think I'll second Moros!!! This became simply better after each release. :beam:

If you don't mind, I have some suggestions :

- Adding page numbers and linking to a specific page in the table of content. (As it will grow it will be an easy help for navigation.)

- Adding header with title of the current chapter

If you don't mind I also give a try for a cover picture!!!

If you could, I'd love you forever. a nice a4 size pic would be perfect. I'm working out how to link to pages as I go, and headers and footers will be in for v0.0.5.

I'll be uploading a slightly corrected version of v0.0.4 later today: v0.0.45. It's exactly the same as v0.0.4, but slightly more experimental. I got a copy of Adobe Acrobat earlier, and I'm at the 'fiddling' stage. If anyone knows if Acrobat can add textboxes, I will love them forever. If not, I've just wasted 3 days of bittorrent :laugh4:

oh sorry, I was looking for this thread in the Gameplayguides subforum. That explains why couldn't find it lol. Going to upload this afternoon (It's on my other pc, I'm on my laptop now). :egypt:

Thanks! It's really a labour of love. It should be completely finished by oooh... November? That is, If I get backgrounds and stuff (hint hint)

EDIT: I might also release a balancing mod in tandem with this. I now need playtesters!

Just going to give unitss that should be phalanxes the ability to be so, and make elephants more balanced. And Siege machinery.
