Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
Just finished my undergrad (BA in history) two and a half months ago at Westminster College, Salt Lake City. Now I've got to figure out where I want to go for further studies in linguistics.

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
It's not like I have too many choices..otherwise I would chose to study abroad. It'll probably be the University of Oslo or Bergen (in pretty much one years time), depending upon what I choose to study next, which I am not at all certain about..

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
I'm at a JC right now finishing up my GE. I then plan on going to San Jose State where I plan to study in their SLIS program majoring in archiving and minoring in Military History. From there I plan on going to Europe (probably to the University College London) for my Masters and then from there I plan to get a PhD somewhere else maybe...that parts tentative. I might even go to Australia for it Queensland University of Technology. It's gonna be soooo much fun :2thumbsup: :medievalcheers:

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
They dumped me on Tenley Campus for my first year, unfortunately. Long story short, lack of space. But I have been hanging out in Letts a lot.

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
UWA.
The University of Western Australia, dropped out of BEng, to do a BA, this is my first semester of that.

Dude, Tenley ain't bad. From my experience, the RA's are much more lax and a lot more stuff goes unnoticed. And the rooms are bigger. :2thumbsup:
-
Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
Oh yeah, the rooms are definitely bigger. Our RAs have a pretty strict policy about things on floors, but they're still pretty cool (not total jerks) and don't give a crap about what happens off-campus.

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?
Wesleyan was one of the few eastern schools that I seriously considered applying to - goodness knows they expended a fair amount of effort trying to get me to come. I think I shied away, though, if for no other reason than that I would have felt horribly provincial, being just a "bum yokel" from the rural Midwest. (Not a very good reason, I know.) :embarassed:

All right, I have to ask the smartass question: Are your grades that good, or are your parents that loaded? Or is it (hopefully) both? ~;)

Re: So TW.org, what uni are you going to?

Nope. There are about 100 different universities with Wesleyan in their name, none of them have anything to do with the one I went to. Such as Ohio Wesleyan, which is the one which I think Martok is talking about here:

There is so much confusion over the name of the school that we actually have a popular shirt there with the school logo, which says on the back: NOT Ohio Wesleyan, NOT ....., etc. for about 20 lines, and then it says at the bottom "And no, we're not a women's college outside of Boston" because people get us mixed up with Wellesley all the time as well.
My Wesleyan is in Middletown, CT about 30 minutes south of Hartford. It's your typical New England liberal arts college that no one has ever heard of.

Nope, it's not that one. The only school I looked at in Ohio was Oberlin (which I actually did apply to and was accepted).

I'm actually pretty sure that's the one, TinCow. The only other Eastern school I seriously considered applying to was in New Jersey (although bugger all if I can remember its name offhand :wall: ); the other was Wesleyan. So unless there's a Wesleyan college/university in New Jersey -- and maybe there is, for all I know -- I'm reasonably certain your school is the one I'm thinking of.

Wow, nice list you've got there!
Having Cornell as one of your safeties is quite impressive too - good luck with the applications / interviews !
