Very complete, both 58 BC and 77 BC uses elements from both EB and RTR, among others, and are great mods.
The series are called FRRE ( Fall of the Republic - Rise of the Empire ) http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=46

The Medieval 1 XL mod, in the rare case that M1 actually works on my computer for more than 10 minutes without crashing/freezing the whole system. No other ones for RTW even come near EB w/ Alex.
No M2 mod has held my interest for too long either- Deus lo Vult was fun for a bit (the garrison script is a must IMO since the AI is still too dumb to garrison its cities), and Stainless Steel was impressive but way too easy, however the whole game just feels dry and soulless compared to Medieval 1, not to mention EB.
Edit: Broken Crescent (M2) was very impressive as well, but a big battle fest of a mod coupled with M2's horrible battle AI just doesn't hold my interest for too long either.
Only EB and LotR: TW. I'm a sucker for Tolkien's Middle Earth in general, so a TW game is just candy for me. Saruman and uruks FTW!
For Rome I only play EB and Rise of Persia, which, despite it's crudity, is still quite good, and for Medieval II I've got Broken Crescet.
Anyone know a good mod for either RTW or M2 that has Egypt (like Pharonic, Ramesses II-style Egypt) in it? I'd love a good Egypt-based mod
Rise of Persia for RTW.
Foot
For RTW, EB is the only mod that truly interested me.
But for M2TW, Broken Crescent is awesome, and highly recommended.
Now does anyone know a way to copy the RTW files or something so I can play EB and ROP without havig to uninstall one of them? :help:
I think RoP is available with modswitch so you could install it on the same copy that you have EB installed in.
Otherwise just click on the Rome - Total War folder, press ctrl + c, press ctrl + v and here you go
However, when using shortcuts (or the trivial script) you have to make sure they lead the right way.
Has anyone played Ran no Jidai, the Sengoku-era mod for RTW? I've been thinking about trying it but am not sure whether it's worth the bother.
Edit: IGNORE. I was unaware that it was still under work.
Generally being away from a machine capable of so much as inciting a little hope of being able to run EB -- that does help to spend more time developing it (or things related to it). Haven't played EB all summer, and frankly... if I could, I'd be fiddling with EB1 or playing EB2. ~:)
What is a "mod" anyway?
you're kidding, right?
a mod is a modification for a game, like Europa Barbarorum and Rome Total Realism are Mods for RTW
but there is Batles of Asia

Raising a little XGM banner here...
OK, I just started Westeros Total War and it is amazing.
I'm a huge fan of George R.R. Martin's writing, so I was extremely pleased to find a good mod about it!
Ive got to put in a nod here for RoP. I just got this mod and it is amazing. I'm really happy to see some modding efforts that deal with some other interesting periods of ancient history. It's holding my interest beyond 2 turns (my barometer for how I 'review' a mod.)
