Well, for that I thank you. And yeah, I thought I might have mentioned it there, but I knew the Taverners are much to cool to cheat.
Qui. However, by then their units are about 50% depleted; you won't have to fight them in the cramped confines of the city; and they come out of the gate in single file, making a perfect target for enfilade fire by archers and slingers. Also, if the enemy (apart from the Eleutheroi) has an army stack nearby, it will almost always try to relieve the siege, even when the odds are against them.
Indeed. In fact, I didn´t even have to fight them, they surrendered, despite not being all that outnumbered. Guess they just looked at the general life quality of the population under my rule, and then at their own general life quality.
After all, I only let smart people into my kingdom.
So your kingdom is just as the Roman Empire during Antoninus Pius??? Just remember that Marcus Aurelius suffered for the many invasions during his government. 30 years of peace made the barbarians think Rome was weak.
I've always thought the pinacle of the Empire were those 30 peaceful years, considered the empty years of roman history, because, as you said, NOTHING HAPPENED. But its decline started after that.
Could your Pontus kingdom be at the begining of its death??? Maybe you should roleplay and decide your next faction leader to be an agressive bastard with dreams of grandeur
I love roleplaying, but I am always agresive, I always play to win so I never lose sight of my objectives.
:skull:
Well, the compsarison to the Roman Empire doesn´t really hold, especially as the Seleukids could crush me whenever they wanted. At the moment I have apart from FM´s only 6 units, 4 Levy Hoplites in Amaseia and 2 of the same in Trapezous. I could probably fight of one big Seleukid army, but any more, and I´m in real trouble.
I don´t really plan on ever expanding, I think I´ll just sit here until the end of time. My citizens well being is very important to me (in this particular campaign that is), and were to swiftly expand I fear I would be unable to provid adequate infrastructure to support the high living standards I wish all my citizens to experience.
Plus, the upkeep of a real army would bankrup me in just a few years.
you ought to post the saved game
You ought to play your own fricking game!
But yeah, I can do that if someone really wants to play it. Doubtful.
Epeiros ain't defeated, they're just having a kip
Hush, they´re hiding in Ireland, they´ve just painted the entire island grey until the moment have come to reveal themselves.
