-why not go a specific forum for this kind of stuff when you want to discuss this kind of stuff? it's after all a tw forum. It's cool that we have such a large off-topic section, but I think we shouldn't separate in into every possible subject that anyone would want to talk about.

I don't know why, but Kekvit's comment made me laugh for like 5 minutes. Maybe because I know what 4chan is like.
As do most who reference it here, however TS isn't old enough to visit 4chan.

Basically, 4chan is an anonymous imageboard.
If I liken it to a forum, like the guild, it has multiple sub-forums (frontroom/backroom etc) that serve as areas for discussion. Each area has its own rules, apart from the global rules.
There is one area (the /b/ board, "Random", is its name) which has no rules. Supposedly the overall server rules apply, but the only one that is followed is no Child Porn. Even that is broken often, and sometimes allowed by the invisible mods (until earlier this year, you were forced to be anonymous) for a period of time.
This area of the internet is the "Anonymous" in real life that protests against scientology, that makes "cars explode" and so forth. It also spawns 'memes' which are just simple lines and/or responses based off movies/funny threads on the imageboard itself.

Often referred to as the cess-pool of the internet it is literally randomness to the extreme. It supposedly spawned the "Rules of the internet" and also declares war on other internet sites (Such as Habbo Hotel and gaia, which is interesting as gaia actually made the rules of the internet)
Searching for encyclopedia dramatica will give outlines on many memes and events throughout the chans history (4chan is not the only one, many others are around, 7chan, 711chan etc. 4chan was not the first either)
Searching for 4chan will get you to the site, and searching for the 4chan archive will give you threads that have been saved by users for whatever reasons.
Disclaimer: 4chan requires you to be over 18 and is full of very very offensive material. Do not visit it unless you are prepared and over 18.
