I once shaved my legs for carnaval (yup, that year I went as woman and in my hometown, carnaval is serious business :brood:).
Shaving off hair that had been growing freely for 28 years was alot of work.Unfortunately, no pictures from the legs.

Hmm I just got given an electric one and nobody needed to show me how to use it, couldn't be simpler - no need for cream or other nonsense.
I send my regards. ~D I guess she likes her men clean-shaven.
To be honest, I only used the kukri for about 2 inches of beard, for photographic effect, as a nod to pix I've seen of Ghurkas doing the same thing in the field. Didn't do a great job. Were I serious, I'd have used the smaller knives that come with Brit-issued kukri's. They can be honed very sharp.
Lesson: whatever kind of cutting instument you use, it takes about 3 weeks of daily use for your skin (and whiskers) to get accustomed to it. This is true even when you switch from, for example, a safety razor to an electric shaver, or vice-versa. Be patient, anticipate some irritation, and practice, practice, practice, even when you don't "need" to shave today. Do it anyway, to toughen up your skin.
