Why can't people realize that they aren't above forum rules? I mean, it's not like there's 87218497`0984270984602918460`64098`64098364903650893650896348520647854602580246054 rules.

Is this thread just for perma-bans?
Wasn't desert recently unbanned?
On a earlier comment, I think the moderators do a very good job.
Every now and then, people actually do make mistakes. It is only natural, no one is perfect. I have done a post before for example that actually had a naughty word in, which I posted without thinking. What happened? I had a moderator just edit it out, private messaged me just reminding me that it isn't allow, a slap on the wrist with points and expiry date.
It is direct, straight to the point, and it is lenient in the good way. I didn't mean to do that post, and I responded to the moderator letting them know I was wrong and apologised for making them do that extra work. The punishment justified the breach. I was kindly just reminded about the rules and sent on my way.
The thing is, what makes this good compared to other forums, some forums might ban you for 3 to 7 days for it. All it does is makes people feel victimised and unfairly punished. Yes, they broke the rules but think of it in this example, imagine you was a child and you broke a cup. It was just one of those cheap, easy to replace ones. You got the parents which say "be more careful" and you clean up your mess, everything sorted. Then you have the parents which beat their kids senseless over it. I believe .org operates much in the first example which makes people even receiving the punishment respect the person giving them the punishment.
I think the moderators do a great job, even ones I unfortunately had to cross with on official business.
They tolerate when we are mad. I recall being mad with BG for doing thread necromancy. Oh yes, I got one warning point and a minor warning.
Even though, he tolerated it and I apologized for it.
Why was Aemilius Paulus banned?
What... AP was banned?:dizzy2: why?
perhaps something like TWC, where they have a tribunal? then, there could be a sub-forum for that and then that would be the banned people section, with reasons and specific threads where the offense was commited?
Depends on if he was joking or not. If I say "ROFLMAO, I haz just hacked into Lemur, TosaInu and Ser Clegane's account!1 I r 1337, n00b.", I sure hope I'm not banned for a joke. (Or is it...?)
And apart from Lemur's, TosaInu's and Ser Clegane's account, a skilled H#kk0rz such as myself can post from any account at will, such as Louis'.
Luis is not going to be happy when he finds out I haz been at it again, lolz/ :balloon:
n00bz watcha gonna do.
Jolt.
My word, a mysterious hacker has appeared on the boards! How will we ever catch this master of deceit?
we should scan the forums and find unusual behavior!
*moves back into the shadows; avatar turns back into Aemilius Paulus'*
Certain people need to get a sense of humour and stop snitching like little kindergarteners. As long as their accounts are left alone, why should they care what happens to that other person. And how in the name of Chris could they take that seriously? What sort of an idiot would brag about hacking accounts? One would keep that secret and reap the benefits instead of blabbering and falling into deep crap.
:balloon2:
Some humour simply doesn't work in some places.

That's what's to be expected from a community: some care for each other. I'll tell you this (but keep it quiet please): hacking accounts and/or pretending to be someone else enrages me very much, because it disrupts the community. If anyone likes to be banned asap, that's probably the best way to achieve that goal.Quote:

Good music is still good. Last warning though.Quote:

Been here, I did that. Hacked by...Quote:

Hackers are not idiots, there are different types of hackers. Of course there are quiet ones working for a profit, there are also noisy ones working for no profit, wanna-be hackers and many other activities which are called hacking for simplicity, but have nothing to do with that.
There are no real benefits from hacking an account here. It's an account on a gamingforum, so it's very unlikely anyone could get rich from hacking all accounts at once. Whether anything is to be gained from it or not: hands off!Quote:

I don't remember this... but must be in the time I left.Quote:

I have made posts that deserve a ban, I would probably have given it. If you screw up here you really have taken it too far.

Why are the mods not doing their job?
