I wouldn't trust Wikipedia too far. Articles are written by the people who show up or the editor with the most time and obstinance. Kind of like the History Channel, it's a great resource for general information. Specifics can be a problem.

true, it was no singular law that saved us. it was a combination of laws, and IMO, the most promient of laws was the law to keep kosher.

but I can't find them in the supermarket... btw, I agree with that folks that told something kosher is halal, except alcohols, but the opposite is not true. Jews doesn't eat rabbits... don't you hooahguy?

Who needs bacon salts? I have Louis Rich Turkey Bacon. Sure, it may not be technically Kosher, but I eat it anyway, because it fits in with the law completely as far as I know, just has not had a Rabbi perform the ritual.
