Yeah this one is a bit different it seems... looks like the mafia can murder us. Unless Blackadder says otherwise.

Well we are voting, so its the day phase.
Sorry people yesterday I got as a Spanish gift Civ 4. Besides, I left and half hour later the game started. Sorry.
I remember Omanes mini mafia and this is what we need to do. Everyone investigates the first one, and the first votes the second. Everyone investigates the second, except the second, who investigates the third. If we do not get killed, then we will have to post our results. We will rule out who is the cop who gets all guilty, all innocent, and so on. You have to trust this method.

I'd not trust YLC, but I need more time to say something else.
I don't trust this method. I prefer to get two shots at destroying the mafia, with the mafia taking out one of us to make it even easier, and if they don't, we no lynch/investigate ad infinitum until they do.

John McClane (Cronos) is brought before the rest of the detectives. He glares at them whispering various things under his breath about how this whole thing is an exercise in futility and how we should wait for the results to get back in before trying anything.
The other police look at him and shake their heads. Nicholas Angel walks up to him and says "John McClane you have broken every rule in the book. You are a disgrace to the Police Service. Get out now. John turns and walks away as he is leaving he makes a sudden and dramatic leap through the glass window and into the room where the evidence his he tries to burn it with his lighter but it fails which causes him to yell loudly Yippee ki-yay, . The entire collected group of detectives just stares at him shaking their heads and tackle him to the ground and place him under arrest.

A couple of bullets, properly aimed of course, are better than any kind of bizarre strategy involving our confusing detective powers. Remember that any mafia game, no matter how strange, is usually won by lynching someone and that you never really have all the answers, so.... pick!

Congratulations everyone. I felt for sure that you would try to find out the mole using the investigations but you didn't whilst there is a way to almost make sure a win for town you won easily. Good Work I might do another one of these some time in the future.

Firstly you vote no lynch for round one you get everyone to investigate the person to their left. You post the infomation you get then you vote no lynch again and investigate the next link in the chain. You are now down to the final three. The chances are that you will now now which kind of cop you are and either the normal or insane cop would have investigated the mole. And now you can lynch said person and win. The only spanner in this work can be if the mafia manage to kill the insane cop and pretend to be that. If you do that you should have a better chance of getting the mole above 50% with only a few different outcomes changing the game. So as I said before it is not a sure win but you can almost make it so.
How about this:
You lynch, round one. that's 1 out of 4 suspects down.
Mafia murders round one. That's 2 out of 4 suspects down.
You lynch, round two. That's 3 out of 4 suspects down.
That's a 75% chance of winning, because the mafia has to assist you in picking the correct one. From a player's perspective, he's never a suspect, so that's a freebie.
Your math is off, Atpg. First round you have a 1 in 4, second round, is a three in four(that you didn't win first round) times a 1 in 2 that you choose accurately in that round. This totals to a 5 in 8 chance, not a 75%.
If that's the case, then my bad. The thing is that you generally want to leave alone a thread that's been inactive since may of last year; May have worked to just PM me about this.
No harm done, but they frown on what they call thread necromancy. This game is long dead, not unlike my handsome avatar.
