Yeah - this should be the best faction for you. if you now play baktria, you allready know to fight with phalanx and cavalary. ptolemaioi also share the mic with the seleucids, so you can easily retrain your forces if you capture one of there cities.Quote:

A couple of tips regarding cash-flow:
A benchmark (an utterly arbitrary benchmark) that has worked for me - build all of the farm upgrades you can whenever you get them. Next, build things that will pay their cost back in 20 turns or less. Use the Details scroll to compare the profit to the cost. If a given upgrade increases your income by 200, build it only if it costs less than 4000 to build.
If you have income you don't have a purpose for, build health upgrades. They serve the double-purpose of increasing your happiness, and therefore your income via taxation, and increasing your population growth which is exceedingly important in the long term.
Also, don't just build the most strongest units you have. Some units are not cost-effective for a player that lacks heavy funding. Later on you may want to have extremely strong units in small numbers, but in the early-to-mid game you should consider making cheaper units if they are close to their more expensive cousins.
Cash-flow is a lot of the challenge in this game, so don't feel terrible if it takes you some time to get used to it.
