 I do have a preference list of six I can send to whoever needs it.
Who is recording the character selection? They can PM me if all are taken by the time it's my turn.

I just sent 10 possible choices to Zim. Chances are they will all end up taken anyway.... :laugh4::laugh4:
:laugh4: Ten huh? I'm sure you'll get one of them.
Does this remind anyone of a sports draft? Everybody has their big board with the "sure catch" candidates, reaches, and dream choices. We'll be able to evaluate how everybody did in six months or so, and there's more pressure on the higher choices to perform well (because the guys farther down along the line would have loved to snap them up).
Raynaud, I picked you second. Don't fail me... :laugh4:
If anyone wants to send their character selection, send them to me. I'll PM the next 5 people after Ignoramus (GH having sent a PM).
I'm going to be the Al Davis of this draft then:sweatdrop:
Those low loyalty avatars are my Darrius Heyward-Bey:skull:
The major stats to watch maybe the age of avatars with the age mod in effect... There is a risk that those in their thirties might not be long for the game...(though not like it was it the beginning...)
That's the criterion I would consider first...(but I'm stuck with a fortyish king :wall:)
In LotR, Methodios was one of the older starting avatars and those few years I missed at the end when the rebellion was raging...
The age mod may make the ages less important. Those 18-year olds could die off before the 31-year olds!
Well, it wasn't allowed by the rules, but frankly that's the way I hoped people would handle it. I agree that's the best solution, especially when the rebellion makes no sense according to the plotline the player has developed. We have mechanisms for rebellion in our rule system, and it's more fun to use those than to have the avatar simply go gray.
Couldn't we use the console for making sure no character rebels due to the loyalty stat? I don't think it would be unfair to eliminate negative traits affecting loyalty this way.
So how long do people get to be on the clock? :whip:
The LotR draft took about 6 days.
There is no formal time limit on selection, but I'm sure the GM can decide if needed.
I'll take Gaspard de Neufville, thanks!
Last I heard Itulrade wanted Simon de Montpierre and Northnovas wanted Robert Bouchart.
They still have time to change their choice until they come and confirm this. Until then those two characters are reserved. Next up is TinCow.
Noooooo.... Ignoramus.. you better make the best of that character. I had already found a coat of arms and everything.
Well, I guess I shouldn't complain with me being fourth to pick and all. Now you get Simon de Montpierre and I don't know if y'all like him as much. Just saying, I am!
Is there a way to look at the character one has selected? Not that I've completely forgotten my traits, but I guess those people that added five people to their list could have a hard time remembering all of them.
To clarify, you wanted the character Igno picked: Gaspard de Neufville?
And you have grudgingly taken Simon de Montpierre? If so, his picture and stats are still under the reserved characters spoiler.
Also perhaps The Flax could repost the taken characters in a "Selected Characters" spoiler.
Nah, I'm alright with Simon de Montpierre! And I guess the Selected Character spoiler is what I was asking for, while missing the Reserved Character spoiler.
I apologize.
Really sorry Ituradle. I had no idea. What was your idea for his coat of arms?
The same one you picked. It was the quick results for my google search that sold me on him. But don't worry. Simon is also really good from the stats and traits and I'm already happy with him.
Hope the others choose quick now. I'm pumped to see this starting! :2thumbsup:
TC is ahead of me, but my preference is for Hermant Mauvoisin. I'll take Laudry le Roy if TC picks Hermant.
