The Pahlava one was really nice with the heavy cavalry. Im playing a campign with the atm.

My personal favorites are Pahlava, Sauromatae, Romani Marian, Arverni and AS (in this order)
The Makedonian one is good too, I wouldn't change it, on the other hand I find the KH one a little crowded and in the Ptolemaic I would change the Pyramides for clear desert or Alexandria (if it is aviable).
All of these are awesome man, it's too bad there arent the monthly screenshot competitions anymore, youd've won hands down!

No Alexandria custom battle map which is what I'm using, otherwise I agree Alexandria would be better for the Ptolies than the pyramids... They do make a good background though, and there's only so much you can with a phalanx to make it look neat (I've run out of ideas, still got Epeiros and Baktria to go), so open desert just makes it that much harder!

Battle for Bibracte, a terrible loss for the Sweboz. Note to players, DO NOT try to assault city gates guarded by Solduros and Bataroas EVER, with ANYTHING. I had a full army of Sweboz gold chevron bad asses (a variety from Duguntiz to whatever the Germanic heavy swordsmen are called), mercenary german heavies, and wargozez (the wolf pelt wearing wild axemen)... only the Wargozez accomplished anything at all, their axes being the only weapon that could possibly punch through the Solduros' armor and shields from the front. After losing half my army (the gallic cavalry kept charging in and out as well) and one FM, I finally just selected the rest of my units and hit withdraw!
Then I came back a few years later again, and the idiots ran out of the town to meet my army in the field instead- I massacred em ;)

Use either Traikioi Rhomphaiaphoroi (Elite Thracian Infantry), Kluddargos (Casse Sword Masters), or Sreni Pattya Yoddaha (Indian Guild Warriors). Drapanai and axemen will do the job as well, but at severe cost.Quote:
