Put me down as a replacement for anyone that might be WoG'd, YLC. I'd hate to miss this entirely.
Well, if you game some how ends before mine starts, then I hope you'll be able to play as a full player.

Just out of interest which sort of Gods will we be encountering/being influenced by? Are we talking Great old ones, Outer Gods or Elder gods?

Now, wouldn't that actually be giving a bit too much away?
You'll have to decide for yourselves whom you face based upon clues and how people act ingame.

Oh, your thinking of the Deep Ones? Worry not, the whole game takes place in the hills in New England - a small isolated town. Now, what could possibly hurt you

Yeah I've read enough of the necronomicon to say that is a yes. Hmm, I wonder if it will just be lesser ones like Dagon or Hydra, or one of the big boys like Cthulhu.

Come on - need a few more players, otherwise I'll have to cancel. I'm not going to host and have the game not function to it's fullest.
Need at least 8 more...

Re: That Creeping Darkness
In the last large game YLC had....Reenk's role was Unlynchable/Unkillable and I think just would have been replaced day one, had he not played.....that and the Mafia had immunity to investigation....made most roles useless and just lemmings that can't go anywhere but into a pit of spikes:laugh4:
In fact....I recall Reenk was hit by BOTH mafia at the same time(Only one of the three) held back.....and then the next night they somewhat recruited him:shrug:
It would have worked better if he died after, so many kills....but not make him an unstoppable being:laugh4:
I loved the idea of the game though.....:2thumbsup:

Thats actually an amalgamation of all my mafia games put into one. I've never made an unkillable mafioso, and most of the time the mafia could make themselves immune to investigation if played smartly because I did not want the town to depend on investigations to win, but rather on their skill and activity.
As for Reenks role - he was attacked by one mafioso while killing another, and his role could not be killed while he was killing. However, he was limited to 4 kills a game.
I never make my strongest roles unstoppable - for the most part, I put their lives in the hands of those playing - your decisions decide their weakness.

Subject Status: Assassin of the 13th Operative Corp
Psychological Report: Loyal Member of the Operatives (Pro-Operative). Guntram Faust is the pride and joy of the Psi Corp. Living testament to the advances in biotechnology, Guntram Faust is genetic perfection. Originally an untrained psi, Guntram was sent through rigorous training programs until he was broken down enough for them to properly mold as they saw fit.
Guntram is a Psychokinetic of incredible power. He is able to deconstruct and reconstruct matter as he sees fit, allowing his imagination to bleed into reality. If it were not for his limited range, Guntram would pose a major security threat and would have been terminated.
However, he pays a terrible price when he kills a living creature - as he deconstructs the matter, he absorbs the psyche of the dieing individual, incorporating it into his own. Methods are already underway of relieving him of the burden before he goes insane.
Psionic Abilities: Guntram is well beyond even a P1 Psychokinetic, and the Psi Corp have decided that the best way to use his abilities is for the assassination of specific targets. Each night, Guntram selects one person - that person will die, and no ability besides their own can save them. Such people cannot be revived either, and no evidence may be gleaned from them.
Guntram will become increasingly unstable the more he kills - after his 4th kill, he can no longer kill again without risking severe mental breakdown.
Guntram's ability is limited locally, and thus can only be used on someone located in the same Location he is in.
Other: Guntram's partner for this mission is Operative Reimon Leclair (TheFlax)

Reenk couldn't have turned, because the one person who could turn him was quite dead. Reenk would have then had YOU, you as in the Town, turn on each other to find the "witches" that he needed for his victory, but by then he was also exposed and you would have likely turned on him because he was a visible threat.
Actually "they seem to have been imbued with godlike powers" was a joke - about the fact that luck seemed to be on their side at every turn, thus making them appear godlike when in actuality the Operatives were quite vulnerable and would require the assistance of the town to win.

You seem to forget that he was not operating alone. Also, we were very very lucky in choosing who I would investigate. I think we hit something like 3 mafia in 4 investigations. At the outset I actually though the Operatives were pretty screwed and I think under other circumstances we would have been.
