Turn guard mode on till they are throwing the javelins at you. After they are out of ammo, they'll attack you, at this point you have to turn guard mode off, set your chariots in loose formation (if they weren't in that already) and charge straight into the Leuce Epos. If none helps them, the gallic light cavalry will lose the close combat.
