That's a lot of pointless humoring, Raith.

Hi Jabbz! I know I can't read you. Or maybe I can since you can't vote for my brother in this game...
lol no better than the rest of them.
Do you think you can read me?

Mid? Seems humble for someone who fought in champs.
It's cute how you actually think I know something about Pokemon.
I haven't fought in Champs yet.

Not particularly, I don't remember many specifics. I guess I have a (unverbalizable) mental model of what kind of player you are, and if you do something at odds with that I might react. But of course that could then just be an error in my model.
I have you stereotyped, I guess.

Hm.
Good stereotype or bad stereotype?

Hi Logic! Pity I don't know you well enough to insert a joke here about high school, poke and debut.
Are you a deductive kind of player then?

Inasmuch as stereotypes can be good, this one is.

To elaborate, either you're filling the thread with stuff you deem pointless, or you were shading me when you called it pointless.
Incredibly weak, but hey, day one and all that.

Judge me.
I don't know you, you don't know me, so all you have is my word and your own conclusions anyway.
For that matter, I'm going to hold you to attempting making something game-relevant out of the results once everyone's done talking about themselves. I might like the apparent interest in sparking discussion regardless, however.

Townies who protect themselves to survive aren't worthless. They're worse. They deadweight. Find wolves. Win game. Second goal? Look townie to narrow suspects. Survival is dumb. Town is a herd. Swarm and trample wolves. You die doing it? Acceptable loss. Wolves can win with you surviving. Don't be dumb, focus on actual goal. Not what makes you feel better.
Breadcrumbing occasionally okay, but dangerous cause wolves got more intel. Better nose for finding it. Good idea for Cops though. Activity good. Posts with real content good. Don't take game too seriously. Be competitive but relax.
Analyse thoughts again as game goes. Don't stick with old thoughts. Keep reassessing. Bias is a trap. Be willing to be wrong. Then try again. Get closer to truth. Basic science.
Related question mainly out of curiosity: If you think you have one wolf caught, do you go for the throat right away even if it gets you killed, or wait and try to find/case more suspects/catch other wolves before you charge?
And why does this sound like a long way to say "I believe in basic active town tactics?" Sounds like you're lecturing, why?
(Also, which gens have you played and which is your favorite? favorite 'mon from each gen/overall?)

Does Vote: Novice count as two words?

It counts as two words minimum.

It is mainly a (pretty lame) conversation starter, and while it is also somewhat relevant to know just the basics - are you a chronic lurker or a self-important chatterbox, and which other players do you have a history with - this type of info will come to light soon enough anyway.
So basic fact gathering aside, I'm definitely planning to draw my own conclusions.

I do have something I'd like to ask, @novice;, are you usually open to placing votes this early/quickly? What and how much do you think should be behind a vote?

Do you roam around under other names or have I just not come across you before?
Depending on the game it tends to be a random vote stage at the beginning of a game where you just throw your vote around as a joke. Sometimes people do it, sometimes they don't.

How do you expect me to answer that question? :3

Truthfully?
Also I wasn't answering for anyone. I was clarifying on a general basis.
Looking forward to seeing when you start analyzing things though.

Truthfully? Both, and please respect that.
Oh, so you were cutting in for the person I was talking to and dumbing down my question on a general basis, noted.
See, I can play the passive hostility game myself. Looking forward to seeing what you have to offer as well. ^^

Wow, talk about reading into people's intentions.
If you want to keep it a secret who you are, that's fine.
Also I was quoting your post, so I felt like I should make some reference to it by posting a general statement. Dumbing down your question? No, not my intention. As I don't know you I don't know what sort of experience you have or where you have played before. I therefore chose to explain in case you were unfamiliar with the concept. No insult intended, though clearly that's how it came across.

Understood, I was somewhat rash, sorry.
I dislike meta-reading, so yes, it will stay that way.
Hm. It still looks like you were ignoring the context and explanation of the vote I was referring to in bringing up RVS. And why did you have to specifically quote that post and then feel obligated to respond to it if all you had was a general question about my experience? Tagging me like I did novice and asking about my experience and if we'd met would have sufficed, no?
-

Probably, I just didn't think much about it.
