Sicily's Mount Etna, west of Syracuse and Messina. Can't miss it. Had the hollow crater at the top even when dormant.
The real Mount Etna still erupts once in a while. There was a very neat picture of it taken by satellite not long ago, leaving a long plume of smoke that was longer than Siciliy.
