Hmmmm... these both sound like viable options. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Say if I just add RAM instead of getting the PCI card? Or the other way around.

But the PCI method doesn't seem too helpful if their best stuff really isn't all that good...

RAM is cheap and should be interchangeable with any machine you buy in the near future. Vid cards are not 'cheap', but the PCI card should be very reasonable.

Get a buddy to loan you some RAM for a night. It pops right in and back out.
