Shamelessly bumping to put this back on page 1.
I'm 48. It's good to see so many young people interested in this time in history. When I was in my 20's I had no interest at all in this. We also didn't have a game like these to spark it though.
That was me, Im 67 years old. Im kidding! Im 15 turning 16 in about 2 months. Ive already wasted many good years playing the TW series, and Im darn happy about it!! ~D ~D ~D

Although I'm roughly two third of your age, I'll share that sentiment. We didn't have computer games back when I was a kid and then a teenager. I'm taking a bloody revenge now. ~;)Quote:

I actually realise that many companies of people are from 20's onwards, and many clan leaders, and people who play the role as a host of a game, or a clan, are from their 30's.
Of course this is just my personal experience.
Also, there is only one vote for being 65 years old, everything else could hardly be caled, "elderly people". There is somthing called wisdom, which a lot of kids have no idea about, such as saying 20 years old + is elderly. Its much better than shouting "I will pwn y00000" during online game though :)
hey - watch who you are calling elderly - LOL
(46 this past month)
Yes, thank you!
I'm ancient, arent I?
33 this incarnation :dizzy2: (kidding)

For your edification ~ "Gaming" has been around longer than any of us here.........
Once upon a time, back when large reptiles pranced about the planet on thier rear legs (and way befor the invention of oil) games were played with maps made of paper and little tiny bits of cardboard to use for reminders of what sort of mayhem one had in mind ~;) Some even earlier ones used a map-board and little plastic figures (something that seems to have re-occured during the 90's)
Being a well aged 54, and having been gaming since I was 13 (anyone else remember those old board-games from milton bradley?) all I can say is this:
"One only gets older on the outside"! Quite a few of us are still just the same young jedi-knights we aspired to be!
21
gaming since the first Sim Earth + Oil Driller, Joust... (on computer that is)
Yes, some people focus a lot on the "rock, scissors, paper"-principle of earlier TW games. Imagine how boring that game was 40000 years ago! (Gary Larson has).Quote:

40 next month
18 yeah
oh, go on then, 30. I did consider putting myself in the 20-30 group, but seeing as a '1' will appear after the '3' bit quite soon, I thought i'd better own up. Love the way the thread-starter lumped everyone over 30 into one group - lol.
d.
Old enough to keep saying I am really 20 for a couple of years ;)
I still have about 30 war/board games from Avalon Hill (and others)Quote:
