Re: name the artist and song
Try this, if nobody gets this I'll laugh so hard.....
Start segment:
Cop this
I am hot, and when I'm not
I'm cold as ice
get out of my way
just step aside
or pay the price
What I want I take
What I don't I break
And I don't want you
With a flick of my knife
I can change your life
And there's nothing you can do
:End segment

Re: name the artist and song
Ok... this one somewhat hard but some people will certainly guess it:
I made the change from a common thief
To up close and personal with Robin Leach
And I'm far from cheap, I smoke skunk with my peeps all day
Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way
The Moet and Alize keep me pissy
Girls used to diss me
Now they write letters 'cause they miss me
I never thought it could happen, this rappin' stuff
I was too used to packin' gats and stuff
Now honies play me close like butter played toast
From the Mississippi down to the east coast
Condos in Queens, indo for weeks
Sold out seats to hear Biggie Smalls speak
Livin' life without fear
Puttin' 5 karats in my baby girl's ears
Lunches, brunches, interviews by the pool
Considered a fool 'cause I dropped out of high school
Stereotypes of a black male misunderstood
And it's still all good
Uh...and if you don't know, now you know, nigga

Re: name the artist and song
I'm on a mission,
First thing disarming your system,
Next thing slip the key in the ignition,
Just listen,
To the way that you purr at me you know you prefer the speed
When your back starts dipping,
Wheel spinning when the gears start shifting,
I'm sticking til the turbo kicks in
You know that I'm missing,
Got me moving so fast you got me missing the flash from 5.0,

Re: name the artist and song

deep in deabte buffet plate at bennigans
rhyme renegade sure to penetrate
first and second defense i won't hesitate
got a job to do darth's the guy that delegates
got something against skywalker someone he really hates

Re: name the artist and song
Guess which one this is...
Now, my oral demonstration be like clitoral stimulation
to the female gender, ain't nothin better
Let me know when it's wet enough to enter
If not I'll wait, because the future of the world depends on
Therefore, if not the child we raise gon' have that nigga syndrome
Or will it know to be the hard regardless of the skintone
I really feel that if we tune it, it just might get picked on
Or will it give a fuck about what others say and get gone
The alienators cause we different keep your hands to the sky
Like Sounds of Blackness when I practice what a preach ain't no lie
I'll be the baker and the maker of the piece of my pie
Now breaker, breaker 10-4 can I get some reply?
Now everybody say...
Chorus
Now throw your hands in the air
And wave 'em like you just don't care
And if you like fish and grits and all that pimp shit
Then everybody say O-Yea-yer
~Wiz

Re: name the artist and song
Meanwhile back in the year One --- when you belonged to no-one ---
you didn't stand a chance son, if your pants were undone.
`Cause you were bred for humanity and sold to society ---
one day you'll wake up in the Present Day ---
a million generations removed from expectations
of being who you really want to be.

laughs have been had and tears have been shed
maybe the whiskeys gone to my head
BUT IF I WERE GAY
I WOULD GIVE YOU MY HEART
And if I were gay you'd be my work of art
and If I were gay we would swim in romance
but im not gay so get your hand out of my pants
Its not that i dont care i do
i just dont see myself in you
another time another scene
id be right behind you, if ya know what i mean
but if I were gay I would give you my soul
and If i were gay i would give you my hole... being
and if i were gay we would tear down the walls
but im notgay

Re: name the artist and song
Freedom came my way one day.
And I started out of town, yeah.
All of a sudden, I saw sheriff John Brown,
Aiming to shoot me down.
So I shot, I shot, I shot him down.
And I say: If I am guilty I will pay!!

Re: name the artist and song
Big_John, is that Mos Def, perchance?

Re: name the artist and song
that is mos wrong!
it's actually a hard one, it's "fett's vette" by mc chris. unless you're an adult swim fan, you've probably never heard of him.
-
Re: name the artist and song
Ok. The answer to mine was "Shot the Sheriff" by the Wailers. ~:)
-
Re: name the artist and song
:bump:
Sorry, thought this was a cool idea for a thread but I don't know if it'll work better with just one line or full segments. Anyway, I'll start it off again with this:
I don’t want to sound complaining
But you know there’s always rain in my heart.
(And Caius, please don't post something predictable ~;))
-
Re: name the artist and song
part of a very known song, but I made the lyrics a bit more funky (as the title is in it and would be to easy). In other words I rewrote the lyrics to say the same thing but with different words:
...
Mister, you were a bad kid, you allowed you head to get tall
I'm Eric Burdon, I'm Eric Burdon, I'm not the carpenter, googoo goosht.
...
I bet it still is easy for a lot of fellars of these forums.

that was so predictable.
here is a lyric to identify:
Quote:
Chupa chupa chupa Chupacabras Chupacabras Chupacabras
Have you heard about the bat?
Eats your goat and then your cat
Soon enough you will not smile
When it comes you'll run a mile!
It says:
Soy super bien soy super super bien
Soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super!
Soy super bien soy super super bien
Soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super!
From Mexico it came to me
I saw it down in Miami
It vamps in and out of style
When it comes you'll go loco!
It says:
Soy super bien soy super super bien
Soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super!
Soy super bien soy super super bien
Soy bien bien super bien bien bien super super!
Chupa chupa chupa Chupacabras Chupacabras Chupacabras

Re: name the artist and song
Why does people doesn't speak Spanish correctly?
-
Re: name the artist and song
Guess I'll throw in my lot... (no idea about the Chupacabra one, by the way... is it called "Chupacabra", by any chance?)
Quote:
Money
She always gets a chance
Music
She sure knows how to dance
She's a high-flying woman so reach for the sky
She's gonna knock you down then pass on by
She's a high-stepping prancer
A tried true romancer
She's a little gandy dancer
And she's too much for me (Ow!)
Little gandy dancer
Broken
She left me with a broken heart
Spinnin'
I don't know how to start
She's a low-flying woman she dragged me around
She'll get you high on love then knock you down
She's a high-stepping prancer
A tried true romancer
She's a little gandy dancer
And she's too much for me (Ow! Ow!)
Little gandy dancer
Not the complete lyrics, but if you know the song it's more than enough.
Not to give away more than I should, but I love this song; it reminds me of "Bayou Country" era Creedence.
