About the graphics:

They have turned down the graphics immensly for now... i've seen some of the good pics that are hiding deep withen the forums and there just sweet

as for above... first capturing an elephant would be extremely hard , so would be feeding it which would cost a lot... and that fact that germania is not the elephants natural habitat and would most likely die. and even if they did get one a couple showers of fire arrows and that bad boy if charging thru there enemies

, This game will be the most historicly accurate and realistic MMORPG in the world... there is no levels and skill decay so one can only master 1 or 2 skills tops .... in battle a farmer could if lucky beat a hardened legionair in a fight...

When is this game released and is it going to be free?

You will have to buy the box set, but after that it's all free. You can donate to the company though, and this will earn you money in game.

They're sticking by a release date of Fall 05. And Fall is deemed to be as late as 31 Dec.

Well, the community seems quite mature to me, but if you don't like it then just don't play it, simple.

Iv been waiting for this game for about a year and a half, and what iv found out is that they are completely unrealiable on the realiese date, it said "The autunm of 2005" Then the winter...Now the spring of next year.

And I just stopped posting in the community, to many fanatics saying "Im going to worship all the gods" and dumb questions like " Can you crucify someone"?

other then that the game looks promising and im going to buy it when it comes out. But dont expect it to come out anytime soon.

I'm cool with less than amazing graphics (I love Mount and blade) but I've heard so many times about how the screenshots they post have crappy graphics, and how the real ones will be/are sweet, but I have never seen any evidence to support this. And until I see a so-called 'sweet' screenshot I will continue to be curmudgeonly about the supposed graphics of this game. Have you got any links?

And do you know how far skills will decay? Because I don't want to become a master swordfighter and than, after a month or two (or more) of disuse, be a crappy beginner again, or lose half of my skill.

well if you play continusly for a month and dont practice your swords skills you have no damn right to get right back into being a swordmaster, but if you take a break from playing your skill wont decay... your hair will grow though

i'd show you some pics from ingame as it is now ... but errm thats against the rules.

Let's just say this, it doesn't look too great. My enthusiasm with this game is slowing down now though. I'm really hoping it doesn't fail. But I have an "inkling" that it will.

He's preordered and part of the commercial test. So he knows exactly waht the game's like.

Although he's already broken a rule by revealing who he is (there are lots and lots of rules to follow once you're part of the testing).

Umm they've lowered the NDA basicly... new entrees do not sign a NDA but are encoraged to keep quiet

Might be fun, there's a certain clan I was part of till they stabbed me in the back. If I get it, I'll get them.

I played it when it was forst release, for all of 10 minutes. I imagine that if you can get used to the controls, it would be very fun; but the controls as they stand are very unwieldy, and the game itself is rather lacklustre and still needs to be fleshed out much more before it can be really entertaining.

That's enough information for me to make my decision.

What a complete waste of money this is.
I will give the devs a credit for trying but really they screwed it up badly.

Well it was always an ambitious project and most people thought they were aiming way too high for a small team to achieve.

That's all I needed to hear, but any more information/opinions would be welcome.

Just gathering 100 of one of these items can take a whole day for you and that is if the item is nearby and most of the items aren't.
To get them you have to travel to the nearby town which takes a whole day to get to.
Your inventory can have around 40 items in it.
Most of the items you can't gather, you must buy them from a merchant. And to add to the frustration you can only use high quality items for your hut. High quality items costs alot of money. The 5000 sesterces you get when you sign up isn't nearly enough money you need so you are forced to buy in-game money and since you need alot of items then you will need alot of in-game money. Naturally the merchant doesn't hold an unlimited supply because that would be unrealistic, he holds 7 items, 2 are high quality.
So you buy 2 items and then prepare for the long journey back. You get back, place the items in your construction and prepare for the long journey back again and hope that the devs have restocked him which they usually haven't.
So that makes you wanna pull out your hair.

And then another lovely thing.
You have gathered 120 of one item and placed it in the construction.
That took a day for you and you need to go to bed so you decided to pick it up tomorrow.
When you log on the next day you see that your construction is gone.
What happened ??
It collapsed.
What happens when a construction have collapsed ??
You lose all items you have gathered !!
Now I had just gathered wood so I didn't pay for that but can you imagine how it would feel to lose the items you have traveled back and forth for days and wasted real life money on to get and one day you lose it all and have to it again.
This together with serious lag problems makes the game for me frustrating.
