To be honest, I think the EB team decided definitively what they would and wouldn't be including a long time ago... Feel free to speculate, but I don't think your ideas will be acted upon, the time for suggestions is over.
Re: remaining two factions
pitty,
but i'm no expert at this time-period..so EB much have it's reason..i respect that,,
Re: remaining two factions
Since Illyria was mentioned, I'll reiterate Urnamma's usual point; it will not be in. Even if we could add more factions, we probably would not add Illyria; they were too disunified, and accomplished nothing. There are plenty of more unified small factions that could be added that would provide a realistically difficult challenge to conquer anything, but also had more cohesive unity to make it feesably possible. We considered quite a lot of factions, many of which that would have only one or two provinces, but were unified peoples, and so could reasonably expand.
Re: remaining two factions
oehh. I'm inetrested. wich 'factions' didn't make it?
mauryans, numdia, illiria, and probably a shit load of "barbarians"
Re: remaining two factions
there are no Illirains, numidians and mauryans and I don't think it's possible to name every tribe, kingdom, citystate,... that didn't make it into the game.
Re: remaining two factions
well. i was just curious about the candidates..
Re: remaining two factions
well frankly I don't know all the candidates but I think the EB would have discussed about all major candidates.
(And if I did sound angry in my last post or something I didn't ment to)
Re: remaining two factions
no worries..
it's technically impossible to offend me threw the www...
Re: remaining two factions
You guys are forgetting the obvious candidate.
Bartix.

sshhtttt!!! it was supposed to be a secret! ~;)
Re: remaining two factions
We considered many city-states, tribes, tribal confederacies, and minor kingdoms. Celts/demi-Celts alone, there were considered at various times (and this is probably missing a few);
Aedui
Armorica
Aquitanni
Arverni
Atrebates
Belgae
Bonnona (central European Boii)
Brigantes
Casse/Catuvelluanians
Dumnones
Galatia
Goidils
Lugiae
Noricum
Tylisia/Tylis
To put it lightly, we considered our options. And not just for Celts, but for Hellenes, the Italic peninsula, Iberia, Africa, Arabia, the steppe, Germania, Dacia, etc. It's impossible to please everyone though, so inevitably, some factions people want badly for whatever reason, simply aren't going to make it in.
Re: remaining two factions
why si Casse in there, and the Aedui?
it made it didn't it?
Galatians as a faction? wow..talk about overcrowding the east~;)
Re: remaining two factions
Yeah, they made it, the Aedui and Casse, I didn't list what we didn't include, just what we considered.
Re: remaining two factions
a list of what you didn't include..
like Gert said..that would be immense..
Re: remaining two factions
If there ever were two factions to be added, I'd love to see the Arverni and Pergamon.
Re: remaining two factions
what we really need is an empire in the middle east, arabia or east africa to slow down the expansion of the ptolemaic empire
Re: remaining two factions
Nah! I'd liked a Belgae faction ~:(
though I don't know much about them I'd bet they would be cool.
And if there were factions I'd also loved a Numidian and (if historically there was) a Nubian kingdom or something.
Re: remaining two factions
huh? Sioux? but thats code for Bartix....
oops! ~
I'll shut up now... :embarassed:
