Iberian Peninsula : Portugal (of the Portuguese) + Spain (of the Spanish = Castillian, Basques, Galicians, Catalans, Andalucians, etc...)

i saw "jeremy Clarkson meets teh neighboors" he wasn't to keen on spain..
"europe's losers"...he said that spain got an abnormally high % of the EU's fishing funds(wrong word,, in dutch it's "subsidie") and a lot more of that stuff...

was quiet amusing, but then..you can't say English are unbiased/normal....

Belgium got off weird as well, wiht it's World championships Pipe-smoking...counting how much times your birds sings in 2 hours...and all other weird sports..
and Holland was off course their for the radar posts along the road, prostitutes and drugs...but they got of nice..

Well, since we have our ethnical roots a bit linked to the Seubi, Lusitani, etc.. and the Spanish (except Galicians) don't, I think we can safely say that we are different.

Besides, as kayapó very surely said, we've been a nation since 1143 and the Spanish only since 1479 when Ferdinand succeeded his father as King of Aragon and united it's domains to those of his wife Isabella of Castille.

dutch would say no...Flemish people speak our language(with a funny accent), i consider them as dutch for a large part...

it's the flemish that make a big deal out of it...but Belgium is just a bizar country...bad cheese...

but hé..Holland is under a lot of fire as well...some people don't even know were it is! but i gues there are prejudices everywere..and their just so obvious they're funny again ~;)

Nah, it's the netherlands wich is a strange country...bad "beer", bad chocolate, bad mossels bad fries, bad education,...~;) ~:)

Except for the language there's a complete different style of life. When it comes to stuff like that I think we're rather a mix of germans and French really.

But let us be freinds since you have an army and we have...well a national "help organization" ~D

it's a mix of Germanic (like german, and other) and roman (like french).
Holland is really on ten boundry between Northern and suthern Europe, and that's pretty mcuh teh bledning comes from...
andother fun thing is that the Romans conquered Holland up to te=he rhine, and no further..and that's exactly were i live!
