So no news on whether you are able to rename Legions or not? I'd personally love that more then cities as I'd be able to see the "Imperial Guard" route the rebel scum, the "Rough Riders" charge down the Huns, a unit on the field just seems so much better then an idle city.
Certainly no need to apologize! Half the fun of playing a game comes from finding neat little undocumented features, such as this or the famous battle sites, that don't actually affect gameplay but add a personalized feel to a game.Quote:

Might be worth trying if adding those parametres into the vanilla (1.3) preferences works. Also, that LABEL attribute seems worth checking for scripting.

Here are my names for the Frank settlements. Corrections (Latin and Frankish if available) appreciated:
- Imperium Frankorum (used to be Vicus Franki)
- Burkhardsburg
- Merovaegsburg
- Campus Merovaeum (renamed Merovaea upon growth)
- Campus Tancredium
- Adgandestria
- Nova Adgandestria

I have myself enabled it, but never considered it to be some sort of 'name changer'. So have you tested it?Quote:

Those lines in the preferences.txt file are (to my knowledge) for the little name label under characters (generals, assasins, spys, diplomats, ships) and settlements. When set to true, you always see the name under the object. When false, you only see it when it is clicked in.
