Knives

You don't see many brush knives like that here, though few people do use these. Takes a six inch replaceable blade. I bought one at a garage sale for $4 once but never really used it much.

Usually we just use the chainsaw. Hard on the back and the equipment, bending over and cutting endless little shmucky overgrowth close to the ground, but it is fast. Always end up catching the dirt and hitting rocks. Kind of annoying work. Kills the lower back.

(But not today. Another rain out. ~D )

Wow, Finland's awesome.

I only own a factory reject sgian dubh which really serves no purpose. It's male jewellery and it rarely ever sees that use.

I do rather like battle-axes, though. There was a Dane-axe on the wall of a local knife shop the last time I checked. My worry is that "weapons" these days are shoddily made and not worth the bother.

I'd really like a sword, but I have no use for a knife.

Thanks for your answer.The vesuri is like a "falx" against trees.Its light and has a quite powerfull blow becouse the sharpened edge is the inner one,but i bet its too slow for a pros to use.You guys really have hard job.My unckle Who had A farm and some forest aswell also always curzed his back pains.Long back and cutting down trees just dont mix.~;)

It's a repro model 1861 US Cavalry Saber. Starting to rust a bit, but in good shape nontheless. Gotta sharpen it a bit.

Ah repro , buy the real thing instead, its better made and will last longer (apart from some of the rejects that were returned by the army, then sold back to the army)
Then again repro can be good , I bought four repro roman swords from a theatrical props place that was having a clear out , they may have been worthless reproductions as far as they were concerned , but they were genuine French Napoleonic Artillery reproductions ~D ~D ~D what a result , they paid for lots of~:cheers: ~:cheers: ~:cheers: ~:cheers:

I think my gramps got me some real CSA issue swords ~:cheers: or somthing of the nature.

Also had an english WWI bayonet, but I gave it to my Dad and he has no respect for that kind of thing. I have no idea whad with it.~:mecry:

edit: oh ya. I also have My MArine NCO sword I won as honor grad of Sergeants Course. Forgot about that one because it isn't as cool as the other ones.
