I must say they do look great... And reloading... great work.
But their arm armour is a bit too... well much. Perhaps and upperarm protector, but these guys were not suppoed to get close up with the enemy, so the best ashi equipment went to them last (unless they are some sort of teppo elite of course).
Looks great too, this one!:bow:Quote:

Constructive criticism mode on:
Their head seem quite small compared to their bulky armour. Is this the wide screen effect again?

Nice little vid there... I noticed that you have brought the old STW music back in.~;)
Nobori = Bo-men (staff fighters)?
Was the Bo really used in battles in large numbers or even at all? I haev never heard them mentioned in any other capacity than some master preferring his Bo over his Yari and so on. A few individuals.
Or are we talking about the bannerbearers?
Kraxis, yes those are banner bearers. The Nobori was the larger version of the sashimono flag that the troops carried in their back.~:)
Is each nobori a single unit?
That wouldn't be good - I would never build them if they took up a whole unit slot on their own...
:hide:
Excellent work Prometheus and team !
The units look fantastic, very detailed.
~
No the Nobori will be the standard bearers of the units.~:)Quote:

How did you get them to stand out front like that?
Yeah I would like to know that too... And is it prudent to have him be there? I mean he would get killed migthy fast alone.Quote:

Excellent work guys, Im so glad to see this mod going strong. Prometheus, awesome work on the models and the textures, I didnt even know if you had carried on the work when I checked in yesterday for the first time since I left the team, and sincerely, Im positively surprised by what you and the team has achieved without my assistance.~;)
Even if I will never get the pleasure of playing this, what seems to becoming an awesome mod, I will still borrow computers to check by from time to time, this is a development I dont want to miss out on, the screenies alone makes it all worth it.~D
Keep up the great work and the best of luck to you all.
Thanks tomte nice to hear from you again ....~:)

Great looking Yari Samurais Prome! And nice to hear from you master Tomte.
Very nice... But I have come to expect that.~;)
Could one ask to get a more closeup or frontal shot of them? Most of the interesting details are visible at the 10.30 to 11 o'clock of the individual man.
The only comment I can add to this most solid uit is the yari itself.
Personally I would like the crossed points, not just because it was used a lot but because it makes sense for anticavalrymen to have it. They were excellent for pulling men out of the saddle if the point couldn't penetrate the armour, and that was a most popular use. The shorter the yari more effective the crossed points would be.
Besides this I wonder about the length, most yaris I have seen have the point beginning about wherethe point ends now. It would just look more spectacular this way.
ditto the first bit
I haven't seen many Japanese spears without crossbars, but that's Prome's calls in the end since its not that big of a deal.
