Re: A Harry Potter Theory
well you certainly not the only one Craterus.
Though I myself think it would be a little to easy...everyone would know this when the next book is due to come out.
So I'm putting my money on a never before seen / read about character ~;)

The Stranger, your theory sucks. ~;p Rowling probably worked that out a long time ago, and decided she won't use them just to keep the oh-so-knowing fans at bay.
Harry Potter IS fun. Com'on guys, have a little fun! The first three books were children's fun, the fourth being a little more adventurous, the fifth one...IMO sucks. It's too dark for a bright background, if you understand--so much trouble and so little joy to make Harry Potter as charming as it was. The sixth one is a little better, though the mystic seems to be falling off for me, for some reason.
Re: A Harry Potter Theory
Sapihi were Turkish knights, MTW got them a bit wrong. Quite a compliment, and I am not even thanked for making it!
No EU for you young man!
Re: A Harry Potter Theory

:whip: Spell correctly wise guy! It's Sipâhi. :charge:
It's a Persian word, "man of 'sipah'", where sipah means...I couldn't find out for certain but probably horse.
Two distinct, unrelated type of cavalry were both named Sipâhî:
"Timarlû Sipâhi" were the light cavalry units, trained and commanded by people under whose posessions fiefs were given. That was a feudal system but very unlike that in Europe. These landlords were under absolute control of beuoracratic administration, explicitly responsible to the provincial governers (Beylerbeyi). They had to show up in person with a certain amount of cavalry under their posession, depending on the size and revenue of the land they were given. The fief would be seized back should the Sipâhî fail to fulfil his responsibilities and it wasn't automatically inherited by his descendants.
"Kapukulu Sipâhîsi" was the name given to the six heavy cavalry divisions within the janissary order. They were, like the rest of the janissaries, part of the imperial guard and theoretically under direct command and posession of the emperor, hence no feudal character at all.

Re: A Harry Potter Theory
I look forword to seeing harry potter die in the last movie. I hope he does, at any rate.
If it wasn't so damn hyped up, then i would think that it's OK, as a book for younger readers. But as it is, i feel like vomiting every time some one brings it up....:san_angry:
Re: A Harry Potter Theory

no it doesnt sucks, you dont know how she writes...before she wrote even the first book she had almost all the characters figured out...so Regulus had no other part in the books so she had no reason to name him...but she did...cuz he will come back in 7...thats smart...you migtht not like the book but you have to admit that its waterproof...almost or no loose ends...:san_cool:
