whites are perpetually forced to feel a collective sense of guilt for perceived past wrong doings, one of the repentences of which is to effectively 'give away' our women to those who we supposedly harmed
Guilt of ownership? I have no guilt. I owned no slaves and time has passed enough to equal everything out enough. Screw the whole "inheritance" factor. I have no benefits of being white. In fact I am DISADVANTAGED because I am not black- Society has embraced violent black culture, If you look at American youth culture you will see the dominance of black urban culture throughout. Further, Blacks hold advantages in getting jobs and getting and education when compared with economically equivalent white people. Even I was at a disadvantage when compared with rich whities. Guilt, gah. Please.
But thanks for playing. You wrote well.
This sentence seems to contradict itself.Quote:
These social message is amplified by white dominance of society and especially the media, where black males are often portrayed as the epitome of manliness and perfection
On a similar vein, I find it amusing that black culture tears down being intelligent as trying to be white. They call Condoleeza Rice a "House N*****".
Perhaps. Perhaps.Quote:
This subconscious manipulation of white women's minds: encouraging them to find a black partner is what, in my opinion, causes the disparity between volumes of black woman/white male relationships and their opposite, and likewise similar manipulation is what has caused modern perceptions towards racism and ultimately led to the idocy of this song.
OR maybe it is a grand whitey consipracy to dilute the black race? After all, in mixed children, the tendency is for the melanin to decrease, not increase. Despite this, the offspring of mixed parents view themselves predominantly "black". This percpetion means that the individual will likely seek a black mate. Thus further diluting the overall "blackness" of the race.
OR sexually promiscuous white trash women just seek the myth in genital endowment. Too bad, because it is actually the Finnish who top the list in endowment. Either that or I have some black in my line. lol.
"Baa baa, rainbow sheep..."
Heh heh... gay sheep. :jester:
Many black males see white women as trophies or status symbols, so I would disagree with that in depth psychological analysis. A good example can be seen by the vehicles so many urban black males drive. Caprice Classics and other vehicles that resemble police cars to often include details such as spotlights and lack of hubcaps! In some cases I support this though. There is a racist little whitebread town I know of in Tennessee where black males go to pick up white girls, just to piss off the locals. I love it!
Another reason for this is the tendency/stereotype of the fair skinned maiden and the tall dark stranger. I believe that there are strong genetic and (therefore?) cultural reasons for this. Nothing wrong with it but I just hate the competition damnit!
So just in case you guys were wondering this is what a gay sheep looks like:
There are black sheep, there are white sheep.
How is it disciminating against black sheep by having a nursery rhyme about them? Isn't the real discrimination happen now that they are being excluded.
This is apartheid nursery rhymes!
Exclusion based on the colour of ones fleece!
I bet the school has been inflitrated by South African's who want to make Britain into another apartheid country.
:dizzy2: :balloon2:
The inherrited guilt thing really pisses me off, I haven't had someone pull it on me yet but if they do they'll get an earful.
As to thw white woman black man thing.
I believe that white women fit Queen Nefatiti's mask better and are therefore mor universally beutiful, but black men are more manly and therefore more attractive.
However the best fit for the mask is someone with a mix of Arabian and white features with African eyes, roughly speaking.
Racism in its purest form is just a prejudice against people that aren't like you, either because they look different or sound different or whatever. Its perfectly natural because anyone who is different from you is a threat to your race, it's genetic survival.
With that in mind the fact that we get along at all is a testimant to our society and our ability to overcome our instints.
As someone has pointed out. This is a non-story. Much like the 'Winterval' story. Personally I think the BNP are behind many of these 'pc outrages' and the likes of English Assassin et al go merrily along with it.
A fascist conspiracy then? :laugh4: You made my day, I havn't laughed as much in ages. :book:
I think this article demonstrates a good point about perception:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,187112,00.html
So some goofballs in LA of all places admit to this, therefore ^.Quote:
“I found that racism is very prevalent in everyday society at all levels,” said Sparks, 41, of Atlanta, whose experience as a white man in Los Angeles last summer brought him face-to-face with people who admitted they always wash their hands after shaking hands with a black man.
As opposed to:
Perception, both how you perceive actions and how others perceive yours. Culture is the key.Quote:
“I did not encounter racism," said Marcotulli, 47, of Santa Monica, Calif.,
Even after spending time as a black man for the show, which premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FX, Marcotulli thinks conflicts arise between people because of differences that have nothing to do with race.
Reference? I never heard anything about 'them' wanting to rename our black peters.Quote:

As someone trained in a proper science, you have no idea how much I dislike evolutionary psychology. You can use trivial arguments to explain any behaviour you like. Even contratictory behaviours can be ascribed to evolution for inconsitent reasons. This example is false because anyone is a threat to your genetic survival (except, perhaps, your identical twin) if their children are going to be competing with your children for food and mates. Fear of strangers may be natural, not because they may threaten your genetic purity, such a nonsensical idea, but because they may be a direct threat to you. Racism specifically not natural.Quote:

What about the 'i can see a rainbow song'? that's totally innaccurate but traditional.Quote:

Some things you can't really substitute the colours and have it work the same.
Take the following joke:
What's six foot tall, black and screams alot?
Stevie Wonder answering the iron.
that just wouldn't work if you inserted rainbow instead of black, you'd have to think of an entertaining blind rainbow celebrity. I was also thinking about if you put a white person in that joke instead (changing the colour and the punchline) but the only famous blind white person I could think of is David Blunkett and he's just so dull that the joke doesn't work at all.
I personally think that the blind part of the joke is most offensive,
So I have devised a challenge, PC up that joke without making it less funny than falling off the pavement (you drinkers know what I'm talking about).
Edit: PCed up version,
what's unseen and screams alot? somebody answering the iron in the dark.
better?worse?
well, a lot of childrens rhymes don't make sense anyway.
The point being that regardless of whether we agree with their methods or not, the rhyme wasn't changed for reasons of political correctness.
It was changed to encourage a broader vocabulary... i can see why singing the same song over with different adjectives might help...
maybe the teacher stands at the front and points to a coloured wall chart... It's a non-story. In the past these stories have been backed up by statements from the councils themselves, or the education authorities. This time there is nothing like that.
'Teachers alter traditional rhyme for educational variety purposes' just doesn't have the same ring.
expanding vocabulary?
I don't remember us ever changing songs to expand vocabulary. My knowledge of words came from reading more than singing.
If it was changed for a non-PC reason it must surely have been done for fun rather than anything else. Unless they had pictures of different coloured sheep to explain what their new vocab meant.
Why didn't they change it to "moo, moo, black cow"? The song doesn't say anything about the sheep being sheared, in fact he sounds more like a wool merchant. They missed the opportunity to increase children's vocabulary with new farm animals. Fools.
surely that's what old mcDonald is for ;)
but i'm glad we agree this isn't pc.
Nah, Old MacDonald is redundant, he needs to up his game or my version of "baa, baa, black sheep" will consign him to the dustbin of nursery rhymes.Quote:

The charity group that runs the nurseries, Parents and Children Together, said that changes to the nursery rhyme have nothing to do with race.
In a statement, the group said it has established that the children at the nurseries would now sing a variety of descriptive words so that the rhyme becomes an active one.
The children will be asked to sing "sad," "blue," "pink," "black," "white," "happy," "hopping," and "bouncing" when describing the sheep to encourage the children to extend their vocabulary and use up energy.
thanks to Dave for this informative link
I guess vocabulary training in a nursery school isn't just as good a story as PC gone mad. Next time you join an anti-PC riot, consider that your media may not be as good as it seems :wall:
I clicked on it to get a larger image, so I was taken to the imageshack site. Boy was I tempted when I saw "report this as offensive content" :laugh4:Quote:

That explains it. My car isn't black, it's rainbowed. :sweatdrop:Quote:

according to the article, 'black' is one of the adjectives they will sing...
once again... this is a non-story. Honestly, the anti-pc lot have just completely gone overborad about nothing.
