You'll find that many agree with you on that Edyz.Quote:

In high school my yearly grades sucked, my exams rocked. In University im getting the best grades ive had my entire life. So now I know I got bad grades because the teachers didnt like me, and I didnt do my homework :p
Sjakihata, may I ask what made you change your mind when you were studying law?
gah, i hate exams, they are nothing but a memory test (and i have a very bad memory) i think they should have common-sense exams, or real-life exams, A* :laugh4:Quote:

Simple solution. Drop out. Study philosophy. Be happy. Like me.
I've got English Lit, Chem, History and Chem A-levels coming up, as well as three Advanced Extension Award papers. I'm not too worried-I got pretty near full marks at AS, so I've got a buffer I can eat into and still get As in all of them.
Unfortunately, due to a scheduling misfortune, I have an English Lit paper, two Chem papers, my History AEA paper-which is three hours long-and my Bio AEA paper...all on the same day! It works out to about 8 hours of exams, which I can't actually do in one day, so unless I can find some way to sort it out, I'm going to have to do them over two days, and stay at a teacher's house overnight to prevent me contacting anyone who has already done them.
Needless to say, I'm not best pleased about this.
I've got three physics papers and three latin papers (totalling six hours) in one day. Meh.
In all, I have 15 papers (for maths, latin, biology, chemistry and physics), most of them in one week. What joy.
Finals... 24th May shit goes down boy. Then I'm done with high school for good.
Yay English one done!!!
I think I did fine, now time to get cramming for the History one on Friday, then the SAT's on Saturday and after that it's smooth sailing.
I just finished finals :p
I love my schools schedule. Last day of class tomorrow.
Ugh. Due to my laziness only now, with one week to go, do I find that two of my exams conflict. Worse, the conflict exam for one of my Tuesday exams over laps my Wednesday exam. And the supposedly the time to get on the conflict exam for the Wednesday class is expired. So I am well and truely screwed.
WOOHOOO! I RAN INTO ONE OF MY PROFESSORS ON THE STREET AND WORKED OUT MOST OF THE PROBLEMS!! Now all I need to do is sign up for the CS 101 conflict and I'm in the clear!
Haudegen because 1) it was boring, 2) gave extremely dull job opportunities and 3) the crowd at law were uptight assholes, or people who 'wanted to work with human rights' and do NGO save-the-world-jobs.
Scruvy, no, exams represent what you learned during the curse of the semester. You write a treatise, and then you go up defending verbally.
BP you'd be suprised at what lucrative possibilities you have. And actually I don't study philosophy, but History of Ideas or Intellectual History, which is different than philosophy. I for one, am not concerned and Im quite convinced that I will get/make my dream job.
edy what has that got to do with hippie thinking?
.
The visa stress doesn't leave any space for the exam (interview) stress. :wall:
.
YES! AP US History exam is now done. All I have to do is take the SAT's tomorrow and it's smooth sailing from there on.
I am done with all of my exams for quite some time. The SAT's went well today, now I get to relax!!!:2thumbsup:
Good luck to everyone who still has exams!
Some Swedish papers, enough philosophy papers, possibly one German one - the damn teacher's not been around for a few weeks - and several thousands of words worth of Finnish papers: oh, the joy. And the exams? Not yet here, thankfully. But looming in the future, oh yes. Oooh yes.
You are the one that said "Drop out. Study philosophy.". You did not say study history of ideas.Quote:

Luckily I have worked this year, so it doesn't seem so hopeless.
Ah, first exam on Friday, Higher English, a Close Reading paper and thence 2 literature essays, on 2 of 15 or so unknown questions. I hope 2 fit Othello, Brave New World, or Church Going... that's all I'm learning for...
Well, wish me luck, I take the Advanced Placement Exam for Biology tommorow morning. I need atleast a 3 for college credit. I'm going to need the luck too.
In fact, not the 24th shit goes down, but the 19th... luckily it's a language exam so I can't really prepare besides practice.
Two hours Diffy Q exam. I don't know ANYTHING:help:
