in fact their filming part of a version of it in a cathedral (i don't agree with this by the way as it give this stuff credability, i guess the church is pretty desperate for money)
in fact all most christians have said all along is that it is poorly written rubish based on the imagination of a french conman, i welcome real debate on the origins of christianity though...

To be fair, it is to the Christians' credit that they haven't gone all 'Satanic Verses' on Dan Brown's Arse.

Read it, a friend (from Thailand!) told me it was better than Harry Potter through MSN, so went out and tried it. Scolded him after I finished.
A solid thriller, but, looking back, it's no Marquez. It's just a thriller, and quite frankly not one of the better books. All the dues ex machina and the ridiculous plot does not do the book benefit. If anything should be hyped it's all the classics of the world. Those are real good books. The best. The ones that survived time.
I don't mind the book and Dan Brown myself (his ridiculous claim in the beginning, that the sects described are factual, annoyed me a bit. But oh well), but the freaking hype it is getting is increasingly, greatly, unpleasantly annoying. How dumb can people be to fall in to all this marketing ploy?
"Oh my God! Da Vinci Code! Is it true? Yes? No? Make a movie! Let Travel Channel investigate the truth! There must be evidence! OMG Jesus is married! OMG OMG OMFG11!oneelevent!"
